Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Wish
this wasn't so spendy. I'd love to send this guy to the Mrs' classroom on Monday. (that would be Valentine's Day).

That reminds me of the second Harry Potter book, when they had the grumpy dwarves delivering singing valentines.
And you can take your Valentine's Day and &#$%. Bah, humbug.

I love your tag line...but after reading that story...I'll take the 28 year old hobbit. Not as many lingering issues of why his Enemy is after him.
plus, Im not a paedophile.

Our prom theme in '75 was "Old Fashion Love Song."Maybe it wasn't the Doobie Bros. I've always like them, but I don't remember when they actually made it BIG.
"Old Fashion Love Song" was a Three Dog Night tune.

"Old Fashion Love Song" was a Three Dog Night tune. I'm so embarrassed. I knew that.

I couldn't find it... "couch" occurs too many times too narrow it down... "side of the road" occurs 87 times, but none of those occurences have anything to do with a couch!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
One of these days I'm gonna ask you to hunt down the first instance of "bother" for "brother". It was a typo, and I don't think it was me, but I stand accused. ;-)
Not that I haven't made use of it plenty of times since!

I couldn't find it... "couch" occurs too many times too narrow it down... No doubt from Hair and ecurbh saying every night for 3 years "I'm gonna hit the couch..."

Hmph...well, it's been a long time ago...I was still working occasionally, because I was at work when he told me.
"I got your a present!" he tells me.
Hmph.
