Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Thank you!
Been off and on now for over six years.
You know what the really weirdest part is? When I'm having a dizzy spell, my eyes "flick" rythmically. It's called nystagmus and is a rythmic, jerking of my eyeballs up and toward the right! It's completely involuntary.
It used to cause such violent and spontaneous nausea too...imagine that when you can't tell where the floor is from the ceiling! LOL
Now I've learned to breath through the spell and keep my food down. I imagine they last anywhere from 1-2 minutes from queasy sensation till it's over.

Good evening all...
I feel about ready to pull an Anna Karenina and throw myself onto railroad tracks. Cannot get this program to compile. ARGH.

I've had eye twitches, but I don't think they're anything like what you're describing.
Girl, you gotta take it real easy. No hopping and bopping and shimmying til you're over this bout, OK?

I think it's what Suzi's son calls "Craptacular". I doubt it, cause 'Craptacular' would be outstandingly BAD, and that recipe looks good!

Heh...yeah. As much as they can.
When it first started, it was really bad...went on and on, like I was in a barrel. I would literally crawl through the house vomiting! Eight months pregnant!
They tried medication (Antivert) and it did no good. So they put me on these rehab exercises that "re-taught" my brain up from down with good but not complete success.
Now, I just have spells occasionally and I've taken control of them using the slow breathing and just mentally relaxing and waiting for it to stop. I can tell a spell is coming because I start getting this real queasy feeling. I just freeze, grab on to something and breath real slow till it passes!
Steve's always nice to hold on to me...that does help a lot. Although I must look possessed with my eyes flicking like that! LOL

LOL! It's outstandingly bad for you! The recipe actually calls for two tablespoons of melted BUTTER...but I use canola because I'm too lazy to melt the butter!

Just checked.
Plenty of Jeeps on e-Bay, but only one Ramius.
And it's an Anime Ramius at that. LOL!!

Good night everyone! Steve just called and is coming home! We're gonna watch the NYPD Blue I recorded while he was in class last week.

*sigh*
'nother vent for the pile. Music night tonight, and not many made it. Just me and Jim and the banjo player.
This guy can bring me down ANYTIME. I don't know how he does it. He can say nice friendly things that at the same time are totally dismissive or put-downs. Tonight was the night I finally announced that I'll be leaving soon, and while he didn't actually say "Whoa! That's a horrible idea!" he basically made me feel like a loser for wanting anything else but what I already have and put down every place but here and that I should have gotten more for the house if I HAD to sell it, etc. etc. All without saying it in as many words - all the words he actually SAYS are friendly - but...
It's a talent he has, I guess. Or an anti-talent. Which makes me really glad I didn't say anything until now, and kind of makes me wish I could have kept it secret awhile longer, but with the furniture and such disappearing bit by bit and the sign still out front, it's kind of obvious something was up.
I'll feel better in the morning, but I'm kind of upset right now.
