Good luck with her then!
And for inspections...I dunno. Since the house was sold so recently, it's possible they can get that info from the town office, maybe? It's on town water and sewage, so that's probably not an issue.
I had to have an inspector look at it before I could buy it, and I imagine it's similar when selling. He went through all the wiring and plumbing and checked that the house was in stable condition and all that.
She was just the one who happened to pick up the phone...but from what little talking we did, I like her. She comes across as very efficient, and didn't seem concerned at how stupid I was about some of the questions. ;-) That's a plus!
I found you!!! HEE! HEE! HEE!
(((Pippin!)))
Hi, (((Lil'freeper))))!
Oh my goodness, I just had the scare of my life...I mean I'm still shaking all over.
I went to find our file with our tax info in it from last year. Has ALL our SS cards in it and such. Well, I found the file, but the tax stuff was gone (it was in an envelope in the file.) I nearly had a breakdown. I gotta have all that stuff to get it done (the people who do mine are a free service for the elderly, but they'll do it for anyone who walks in...I've used 'em for five years...same guy every time! He knows me by name!) Anyway, I could not find the stuff. Nearly had a nervous breakdown turning the house upside down, both jedis searching high and low for that envelope!
Well, I called Steve and he gave me some tips on where to look, but it was all for naught.
Then I sat down and thought. For one thing, our "Important Papers" file was out of it's normal spot. Instead of up in the closet, it was in the computer room. Why?
Why?
Did we need to know our income last year for some reason...hmmm...seems like we did...why?
Why?
OHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Steve needed the tax info because he was applying for a tuition waver! OSU gives partial tuition wavers to students in a certain income bracket...we qualified, so Steve had to take proof to the bursars office.
That's good news! At least I didn't misplace them. I can quit looking.
The bad news is that Steve doesn't remember what he did with them. He is currently tearing his office up looking for the envelope!
I get to do that same thing this weekend, only I'm not as organized as you folks...
I have to find my house tax documents! I just got my W-2, so that's no big deal...and I have last year's tax info because it's on my computer and I'm using the same program this year. But I dunno where the house stuff is!
It's just that our income tax return is so vitally important to us...it would a major inconvenience if we would have had to get replacement SS cards and such. Steve just got his slips a couple of days ago and I was going to get it done asap.
But all's well that ends well...Steve found them. He didn't even remember taking them until I called and reminded him. I'll go next Wed. It just started to sleet anyways.
I need an alka seltzer. The kids are loving it because I didn't make them start school.
Things are moving along!
I finally get to go grocery shopping. I'm going to get some really good food... and order the rest of my computer bits. Then I'll settle down for a hard weekend of studying. I've got a nasty little assignment in one class and a not-fun one in another.
Well, the guys I go to do it all electronically, then you get an envelope that has a copy of the return in it. I just take all my copies of the W-2s, our SS cards and everything and drop them in there because the next year, they require three things...your driver's license, the SS card for everyone in your family and a copy of last years return. The minute I get home, I stick it in the "important papers" file and forget about it.
Except this year, I took it out early. Threw me all off! LOL
Still need to send in mine for last year :P
The kids are loving it because I didn't make them start school.
Oh I bet... By the time they are teenagers, they'll prolly learn to wind you up and distract you long enough to make an escape! "A diversion" says Legolas....
Heh heh heh!!
"Look Mom! A Black Widow!"
Matthew nudges Joshua and whispers, "That should buy us at least a good half-hour. Wanna play Star Wars?"
My system has worked great until this year...
LOL, Ruthy! That's terrible!
