Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Tomorrow we may come this way...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

'Twas a good couch indeed!
Back from another excellent session night. We did...rather a lot of not Irish stuff. There was a group of guys up from Connecticut and New York and such for a skiing weekend, and one of 'em had a guitar with him, so we dragged him into the group and just played and played. Did one long blues jam that was particularly awesome. I'm not good at improvisation, but this time something just clicked and I was sounding pretty darned good! ;-) It was kewl.

And now to bed, and now to bed! Gotta get up early and do a bit more straightening. The real estate lady and the lady from the other agency will be coming through while I'm at work.
And she mentioned there's another customer who's possibly interested. So...might get another call tomorrow.

64 Disney songs? I'm not sure I could take that, and I like Disney songs. AIIEEEEE!!!!! Somebody drive nails in my ears....
Actually the music was not all that memorable. Here's my review.
The performers were talented. The music was well done. But I was bored snotless. It was literally just one song after another. Supposedly they were "in a recording studio." There were a couple of bright spots...Intermission and the lights coming on after the finale.
Seriesly, there were some good numbers, but they were all basically at the same leve. And there was no plot. No dialogue. I told the wife that if'n she'd asked, I would have left at intermission.
ecurbh - They actually threw in a line from "that" song as part of the finale medley.
g'nad - yer just jealous because you wanted to see Peter Pan.

Wife says to say thanks for the input on Ivan's demise.
She thought the part about it not being essential to the story was most helpful. That helped her explain it to the younguns.

Ah, I came back a little too slow. Nice to see you!
I'm horribly busy and in over my head, of course, just how I seem to need to be.

Hehehehehe. But other than being bored and having 64 Disney songs repeating in your head, how was it?

Good morning!
First of the house viewers coming by today, but it's just the other realtor, so I'm not too nervous. I did quite a bit of cleaning, but am still finding things - corners I don't usually think to dust - but I'll have more time before the next person. And besides, I know her! So that isn't too big of a deal, either.
There is one more person that might be looking at it soon - a young guy, she said, and she said he was checking into what he was prequalified for. I'm assuming that's a positive thing, i.e. if he DID want the house, financing would go pretty quickly?
Still happy 'cause the music last night was so fun! And tonight's ANOTHER music night! Hope it isn't a let down...
And then tomorrow we have a gig. First in a while. Isn't a paying one, but we get free food. Mmmm...free food...
