Mmmm. Does sound good. We're having spahetti with meat sauce. I cooked up a bunch of ground beef last week and added tomatoes, onions and peppers. Used some of the base for chili (made 3 containers) and some for spaghetti sauce, one batch. It's something you could make a bunch of, freeze, then cook it like you want it, chili or spaghetti, when you thaw it out.

she was coming by to take pictures, and I left the snow shovels leaning against the front of the house near the door.

Hehehe...I was looking through the listings online once and there was this house with the street in front of it under water.

Mmmm...turned out really tasty! I think the olives really made it - black olives. I love 'em.

Plenty of leftovers, too! Woo-hoo! Last few times I've made a big meal, bothers have been over...which means no leftovers.

Heh...so it could be worse!

Winter just isn't a great time to photograph a house. Unless there's really, really fresh snow...everything looks kinda dingy. Ah well.

I'm going to work on homework with a friend. We're doing "stone soup" omelets again. (She's got eggs and sausage, I've got bacon, cheese, and green peppers).

Wish us luck! We've got a really hard assignment to work out.

Maybe a few pink flamingoes would help?

Heh...yeah! I'd have to lean 'em up against the house, though...like the sign. ;-)

Speaking of troop support...I stumbled on this article about Andy...ran a search just to see if a "home town" newspaper had done a story about him and found this very recent article....

He's apparently doing GREAT! I haven't gotten any updates in a while and I figured he must be doing good...no news is good news!

I meant to ping you too...you made a comment about the sergeant that was with Andy having an injury that you didn't think sounded very good or something to that effect. You were right...the article above mentions he was killed.

I'm tickled pink just to see you so happy with it. It looks like a good specimen for a restoration.

You'd better get back to the Autozone for some more PB Blaster.

Congrats! That's a great find.

There were three of them in the Rover, the driver and the passenger in front, the guide standing, elbows on roll bar, eyes scanning the horizon. The chill of the dawn rapidly gave way as they motored across the plains. The sun nearing its zenith was the sole occupant of the blue steel sky that stretched from horizon to horizon.

The guide leaned forward, tapping the driver twice on the left shoulder. The rover slowed, the crunching of the hardpan becoming more distinct as engine noise became less pronounced.

As the rover stopped, the guide handed the passenger the .416 Rigby from the rack, then the driver his well worn .375 H&H. Slinging the camelbacks on, grabbing a handful of biltong, they were off.

Okay Ramius, the driver said, the first stop is yonder ant hill. And so the long stalk began.

Evening Rosie - we see 'the board is set and the pieces are in motion'.

Ya need to get a bigger hammer to drive it in the ground. I think G'nad has an extra one.

Thanks! The good thing was my husband was just as enthusiastic about getting one as I was! Once we talked about it, it wasn't long till we had one!

We're having a blast working on it...I hope we get it running some day! LOL

Heh...except the little wires are pretty spindly. Guess it's gotta stay how it is. But if'n we'd get a bit more snow, it wouldn't be an issue!

Yep...the board is set. How fast the pieces move is anybody's guess!

Evening Winmag - would a few extra knives be more appropriate than a donation? They seem to have two sizes, any preference?
