Has anyone come across an update of the "success" of "Not One Damn Dime Day"? If so, please post it here.
I didn't do as much shopping as I would have liked on 1/20, but I am very proud of those of you that did!
Freep on!
Frm the people calling into the Howie Carr show, it was an absolute joke.
I have decided to boycott every thing in Cambridge for 1 year. Its called "Not one damn dime till you toss all the nuts outta Cambridge boycott"
It really doesn't matter. So they don't buy that pair of jeans one day, they just wait until the next to buy them. It is like those no gas days, what really matters is everyone is still consuming gas so they have to buy it sometime. It doesn't make a dimes worth of difference if they buy it the day before or the day after.
What do you mean? Are you boycotting for only one year, or till they toss the nuts out (which they never will)?
I spend one damn dime, but I sure used my credit card. ;)
Oops, that's "didn't spend one damn dime..."
"You know, I'm going to start thanking
the woman who cleans the restroom in
the building I work in. I'm going to start
thinking of her as a human being"
Hmmm, that is a problem. Maybe 1 year will be sufficient.
Or maybe I will just flip off Cambridge when I drive by!
I'm sure the Goodwill stores and other second-hand stores felt the pinch yesterday.....
The demorats spent the dime on the street corner, I hear illegals fetch a dime a dozen! En especial ahora mismo. /sarc
I didn't spend a dime, but I did close on 57 acre hunk of real estate yesterday. Sign my name on the dotted line right after watching the inauguration on TV. Interest rates still at historic low levels.
Hello from one Indiana Girl to another!
My 15-year-old Daughter said many kids participated in this yesterday at school. She was very irritated with them because the kids that participated just did not/would not spend THEIR dime; they kept begging money from my daughter and others for lunch etc. She just looked at them and said not my damn dime!
I spent about $1500 on Not One Damn Dime Day. Take that, liberals!
Liberals boycotting spending for a day? I'll bet it's not even a blip on the economic screen. I'd be curious to see the comparitive numbers...
Were they allowed to use their food stamps that day?
Your daughter ROCKS. :-)
The only reason I didn't spend more money that day was that it was the day BEFORE payday and I didn't have a lot to spend.
Let's see:
Trip to Beverages and more - $85.00
Gas in my wife's Chrysler - $32.00
Gas in my Passat - $28.00
Half cord of firewood $135.00
Dinner for four - $175.00
We did what we could!
What I thought was funny was the posts that said they bought enough alcohol to get through the rest of the week, on Wednesday! LOL
If they really wanted to make a difference...they should have gone without their alcohol and Mary J for the day...but then their parents would have had to foot the bill for their caskets from the mass suicide from the instant infusion of reality!!
