1. Crab & I think the little thing is a mantis shrimp (break out the butter)
2. Not sure- looks like a crab but could be very small larval stage of something else. Might even make a good skirt on a bass spinnerbait...
3. Some sort of shark, perhaps a young one?
4. Hillary Clinton
5. Helen Thomas on a good day
6. I have no idea- looks like a immature paddlefish relative... or something Barney Frank would keep on his night stand.
7. Ted Kennedy
8. An eel and a squid mixed couple

Top one may be a spider crab
That spider lookin' thing is a water spider of some sort. Oooh, scary.
third one didn't load.
fourth one looks familiar, but I don't think it's a barracuda. ;')

Fifth one looks like some sort of anglerfish:

Sixth, dunno. Let's fry it up.
Seventh looks a little too aware of what's going on. Bottom feeder, from the look of the front end.
Eighth didn't load.

The underwater eruption or earthquake would have an effect on deep sea critters, but not the tsunami itself, I don't think. They are pretty weird, nonetheless.

Snopes.com has this list as a hoax. The fish are real but are from a 2003 Australian research voyage. Don't have the link on Snopes, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
