Isn't the Flatliners reference in the final episode simply Jack "dying" and then coming back to life. That was the premise of Flatliners. Maybe next season on 24, Jack will be haunted by his past sins like he was in Flatliners.

Maybe that was why I was in such a funk last night...no '24'!!!!!!
Mr. h rented Season 2, episodes 1-8, to help me through my funk but I didn't want to watch them...I wanted NEW stuff! Obviously, Mr. h saw the connection I'm just now getting, hence the tape rental! Think I'll take a break and watch '24' now...to paraphrase the cowbell quote - "Guess what? I got a fever! And the only prescription.. is more '24'!
Time for a 'butch up, ya' big girl' session, too. Jack will be back!

If you still have the '24 ping list', you might want to bring the following item I just found on 'Dark Horizons' to their attention:
Actors Jean Smart ("Garden State"), Brady Corbet ("Thunderbirds") and Connie Britton ("Friday Night Lights") will appear as regulars on the next season of "24" reports Variety. It's believed Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer) will be back, and producers have all but confirmed Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe) will return. A couple of other regulars from last season may be back, but the bulk of the cast will be newcomers. Britton is set to play Sutherland's love interest, Corbet will be her son and Smart will play the wife of President Logan (Gregory Itzen). Fox is keeping a tight lid on the plot for the upcoming season but like earlier this year, will launch it with a four-hour two-night event in January.
Logan's wife? Does that mean HE will be back, as well? Yuck.

I'm kinda glad Logan will return as president--his cowardly incompetence needs to be exposed. But Jean Smart playing his wife??? Hm, I don't know ... She's way too hot for a weasle like Logan.
