LOL! The live thread helps deflect the nausea-producing RATS. But I still plan to hang out here if it becomes too revulsive.

Wonder why Austin isn't in the top 10:
"In its nonscientific Seventh Annual Fattest and Fittest Cities Report, the magazine compares 50 cities by weighing 14 factors, including fast-food restaurants per capita, TV watching, air quality and parks.
Seattle tops the fittest list, with the next nine also coming from the West: Honolulu; Colorado Springs, Colo.; San Francisco; Denver; Portland, Ore.; Sacramento, Calif.; Tucson; San Diego; and Albuquerque."

Hi everyone. Just checking in from the new house. Just got our cable in and am on the wireless.
Getting some furniture delivered around noonish. Hope to be back sometime later today.
One more night and we'll be here permanent.

My computer-a$$ prolly pulled Austin down - but with the Lance Armstrong factor here, it would seem that ll the goofy bikers should have brought us back up.
Those polls are fairly whacky, imo.

Yeah, I agree...those polls are strange. I can't believe Tucson is even on the list. We do have national parks and forests completely surrounding us, but very few sidewalks, city parks, or non-car activities within the city. We have tons of bicyclists (including sometimes myself), but we also have drive through pharmacies, fast-food, etc. on every corner. I would really think Phoenix would be less fat than Tucson because all the thin people from LA moved there.

Good Morning Westy,
Quite some birds aren't they?
I MC'd a Boy Scout Court of Honor last month for a young eagle scout and we brought in a live, mature, adult female eagle as the highlight of the ceremony.
Those birds seem so very acute you could feel it probing your mind when it looked at you.
This one was in rehab (takes a permit from the U.S. Wildlife service) with a man who had retrieved it after it struck two high tension wires while landing on the pole.
It takes 2 to 3 years for the birds to recover (And you thought a Taser was bad.)
This bird still could not fly, but it was willing to accept a blindfold over its head, be tethered to the handler's wrist, and it was quite smart enough to issue its awful cry seemingly on demand.

LOL - If they would STOP building up the hillsides into the Timber wolves territory there would be fewer attacks. !! Every year there is an attack by a bear, wolf, and cougars. The poor animal usually ends up getting shot when it isn't their fault.

The world is FULL of PERVERTS obviously. Thailand is especially bad for this type of perversion and is probably a big draw to the Western and European perverts. I hope some of them drowned!!

I am not trying to be contentious, but I am always curious when I hear others saying that we should not build anymore in order to save the critters. I wonder if your home came from nature with the concrete pad already installed?

Stay safe up there, Lynn.

I'm sure that the tsunami got the just, the unjust, and a few pervs for good measure.
