No, we are fine here in Cape Girardeau after we finally built a flash flood control system. But, it is the outlying rural areas who will be hurt.
I need your help here. By doing a little research on Biloxi and Gulfport for my camping vacation, I am finding that they are on the Mississippi sound instead of the gulf. In fact, I learned not to expect any waves at all on the beach. Well, color me ignorant, but I did not realize this.
We always vacationed in Grand Isle, La when we went to the gulf and there were waves, at least. Is Grand Isle considered to be on the gulf? Do you have waves where you live?
Help, someone. LOL
All I can bring to the question, is the Pensacola has some fine beaches - or did when I was last there, pre-this-hurricane season.
CP, or Gran, or someone down there will weigh in soon.
Are you a man or a wimpy wraith?
Anger has nothing to do with it........they can smell weakness.......
Winter tunes only up here........

You are in that corner near Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri, aren't you?
You might be in for the intersection of that 3-fer I mentioned the weather service was looking at, Come next Tuesday / Wednesday at the latest.

Well, a big rasberry to you, Westy. LOL
We still have not had enough snow to make me fire up my snow blower. I have it primed and ready, but these little skiffs of dusty stuff don't count as real storms.
A real storm is where you have to carve your way through the snowplow cornices to give the mailman access to your mailbox if you want service.
Had that a few years back.
Shave the whales and envision whirled peas.
(p.s. to you somber minded types, this is a joke.)
As long as the forecast does not have that nasty word...snow...I am happy. LOL
And to think, years ago I actually gave to this organization before I knew better. Our state magazine, the Missouri Conservationist, touts them big time. In fact, the magazine has become nothing but a tax supported, free to Missourians, liberal rag.
Thanks Resty,
I looked at all three of those links, and that lookes like a lovely place to get away to.
Got it bookmarked.
Has more to do with self-preservation.
With this goofy weather, we should post our town or cities' ZIP's so we can see what we are all dealing with.
Mine is 78701.
Cheers.
