We went down to see our Tumwater Falls today, because the rivers are so full... You can see that this is a pretty deep ravine, so it doesn't flood it's banks so much as it just gets NOISIER when we get this much rain.
I've included earlier pictures I've taken there or that I could find that show the normal flow for comparison.

Here is the middle river today from almost the same spot but not quite. The rocks where we stood to take the other pic is under water.

Did the doggies enjoy their jaunt?

Weather was so weird today, it truly felt just like spring (it also felt like New Orleans). We had days this past August that were colder than today. Goodbye snowpack and skiing.
Cool pictures.
That first one looks like the walkway to the "White Water Canyon" ride at Kings Dominion. ;-)
I am home and dinnered. Coffee is brewing. No school for anyone here tomorrow. No word about my work, but I'm sure since it's that "season" we won't be closed (and I'll need to go in even if we are).
Didn't get that much snow. But it came down wet and froze when it hit the ground. 100s of accidents all over. Radio has people callin' in sayin' they've been on the road for 4-5 hours.
Once I got out of the parking building and about a block away (that took 45 minutes), I didn't have any trouble coming home. 'Course I didn't take the Interstate.
