I don't think I'd want to spend my days locked up in the bedroom with a little TV.

That's the key. She has her own tv and vcr in her room. But she doesn't have a decent chair up there, and not really any room for it.

She needs to get out and come down stairs. If for no other reason that it gives us more ammunition for insisting she get dressed and put her teeth in.

Not silly at all. Having her teeth in and being dressed is a major part of keeping her feeling she's part of things. That will probably keep her healthier.
