If he hasn't already gotten something, how about one of those funky scarves the girls like. They're either made with the fun fur yarn, or the yarn with funky chunky bits of yarn woven in to them. Some are made of wool, and some are very silky. Nice, and not too expensive; prolly less than $20.

Clare saw one of the fun fur type scarves at A. C. Moore craft store, and it's the kind that is a tube. You could actually pull it over your head and wear it as a hood and neck gaiter combo. It was only $6! We call it a 'thneed', cause "it's a fine something that everyone needs." ;o)
