We're getting a DISH network installed this week. I know that the U. of Arizona offers classes on TV on the network. I'll find out more about it on Thursday! ;o)

Have you read the book "The Well Trained Mind"? I don't follow it completely, but I like the idea of classical education, following events through history. If you go to their website, you'll see that they now have some books that help with the Grammar stage, which is what thegirl and theboy are in. Check it out HERE

Clare is using a curriculum based on the classical idea. It's called TRISMS, and it's designed for middle school and high school students.

Let me know what you find out on Thursday about those classes. I have not read the book "The Well Trained Mind" but have heard good things about it and may try and locate it at the library this week. Those books looked great...it's hard to know how much to buy and where to stop especially when you want to buy them all and get really caught up in a period of history.

I'm thinking some kind of introduction to Latin would be good and I really want to find a good program to teach Rebecca how to type...it's much better than this hunt and peck system she has going on right now.
