Hullo and re-Happy New Year! We are back from a quick and not too eventful journey.
I'm a bit tired as I did all the drivin', well except fer the part when wife went to see relatives/pick up Nana and the boys and I stayed at my moms.
Luke whined most of the four and a half hour trip back. Nana did some moanin' and groanin' but she got the message that "whiners will be spanked." She did okay, but the quick trip was hard on her.
My mom and step-dad are doing okay. He's recovering slowly from his surgery. But they're showing their age now. Granted it's time. But they've changed in the last year.
Sam - sorry we didn't connect whilst you were in Virginia.
Suzi - just exactly what ~is~ "mulled wine?" Don't know that I've ever had it. Naybers gave us a bottle of spiced wine last year. We're skeered to open it.
Hair/ecurbh - interesting shootin' pics. My brother-in-law mentioned going shootin' last week for the first time since his mom died. I've been hesitant to bring it up. But, he seems to have a healthy attitude. He doesn't blame the gun.
Rosie/OT - no diets until after Epiphany? Is that what it is? Did I make that law? Oops...'cause I'm startin' back Monday on South Beach. Actually lookin' forward to gettin' sugar back out of my system.
Did some garden readin' and plannin' today.
Also did some editing on my Nanowrimo book.
It's good to be home. I'm ready to pack away Christmas and get things back on schedule.
Glad you're home!
No diet for me until a week from tomorrow, when I get back. It's just no good here at home.
Welcome home Corin!
Sounds like a long trip to town, glad you are back safe.
Glad your trip was uneventful. Glad to hear your step-dad is doing ok. It is tough to watch them get old.
Hope your family has a VERY Happy New Year!
