The Hobbit Hole XVIII - Though we pass them by today...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 12/20/2004 9:01:36 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Though we pass them by today...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Have you replaced the battery recently? I saw a meassage some time ago on a ham radio board about Ford vehicles in general have false siganls to the Check Engine light if the battery is weak. I had the same thing happen with my Explorer about 18 months ago.

When do you expect to hear from the realtor?

I have no idea! I probably should just call...but I'm reluctant. Using the form on their website lets me delay a bit.

But in delay is stress...

Haven't gotten a note yet, anyway.

I need some.

It's been a long, wearisome day. Can't wait for four o'clock!

If I don't hear anything by mid-morning tomorrow, I'll give the lady a call.

That'll give me the evening to do some more work.

All right, you've got that much grace time. When are you planning to paint, this weekend?

Most likely. It's possible we could get to it before that...but tomorrow and Friday there are music related things goin' on, so it isn't likely.

Probably Saturday we'll do the primer...and if that dries quick enough we could even paint (first coat) in the evening.

ACK! Just got out of the meeting about 30 mins ago.

Ack! Ack! Ack! Back to NM on Sunday for more tests. Then to DC for more meetings!

Can't wait to go home and snuggle with my sweetie.

If it's a latex primer, you could paint within an hour, I believe. Check the can, but I know it dries pretty quickly! You could certainly get a coat of primer and one finish coat done on Saturday.
