Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I forgot to tell you! I talked to Becky at Albertsons the other day and we briefly planned some sort of BBQ when you are here...don't know at who's place yet, though.

Morning... ugh, long day ahead of me. My diet is depressing me since I haven't lost anything since the first week and I'm getting impatient again.
Corin, that dress is atrocious. I can't believe people make things like that. I also have seen about the same movies on that list, with the addition of "A Series of Unfortunate Events". Guess I'm an uncultured swine.
Rosie, glad to hear the spackle worked! It's very exciting...
Alkhin, if the curriculm schedule isn't working for you two, see where you can adjust it. Is it easier to do twice as much of something fewer times? Is there an order of subjects that works best? Flexibility is what it's all about.

If them movies are the measure of culture, I guess I'm a swine too. We did see
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban though, which I was glad to see get a music nomination. And
The Village too.
I was hoping to see Team America get a song nomination for "America, F--- Yeah!" just to see how they would handle the live performance thereof.

Yeah.
I'm guessin' I need some sort of modern equivalent of one anyhow, though I've never used one before. I don't know about such things.

Heh, I have what I call "body armor". It's not too horrifying, for a couple hours. Not a corset, it just keeps things in a little better. Check one of those out first (with the lingerie) before buying anything more painful.

I wanted to ask RE: shotgun. There's no point in me really bringing it unless we can shoot clay pigeons, and unless you've got a spot we can go to for that kind of mess, I'll just leave it home.

Still don't have tickets! I need to get them ASAP, but haven't figured out a way to pay for them yet. *bites nails*
Should figure that out within the next few weeks, I'm thinking. Have to.
