Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Looks too small for the plasma cannon but it will probably fit the 1894.43 inches internal space. Extended magazines and pistol grips are out, but riot-length shotguns, lever-action rifles, M1 carbines with mag removed, or a whole bunch of handguns would work out.

When we sold our house in NJ, we signed the contract with the realtor and it was sold within two weeks. This was in the beginning of December, and the realtor had told us it might take a long time. I just said a Novena to the Holy Spirit, and it sold right after I was finished! ;o)
If you and some of the sibs would like to come down some Sat. morning, we could have an animoot, y'all could stay over (there's room in the basement), then drive back during the day on Sunday. When I drove up to Hulbert, it only took me about 3 1/4 hours. I did the big highways all the way, though, so that sped it up some. Just let me know when's a good weekend for y'all!

Mornin' Corin - ya want me to call ya, so ya don't have a quorum? We didn't have the quorum. But we had the meeting ~anyway~.
Anything ~done~ will have to be re-done.
(I'll be catching up now)

all the gadgets Bond takes into the field save his ass, every time. How does he know what to pack?
Had a 'scary' moment with the Hobbit Hole Folder this afternoon. I let my boss borrow The Knife to get a broken tubing fitting out of the connector. He used the point of the knife as a screwdirver to remove the broken piece. The tip of the knife didn't chip or break!

Evenin'...
I've been the company go-to guy for matters military, historical, and firearms-related for a while now, but today I met my match. I'm not really up on my Russian bolt-actions (indeed, I can only rarely ID the nation-of-origin or -predominant-use of an AK variant), and one o' the guys brought in one for me to look at.
From memory, it looked like the M44, but the stock ended nearer the muzzle than I'm thinking is normal, had no Cyrillic markings, and the word "Finland" in the metal, looking like the factory put it there (and I'm pretty sure the Finns would have said "Suomi").
I am poozled.
My head is both bloody and bowed; I have disgraced my sword, my armor, and my horse; I have stained my escutcheon; and I owe a cock to Asculapaeus.
Fie!

Good evening.... do stay awake... You'd fair less-well off-road in the Mustang than you did in the jeep.
That's something about B... huh. They'll likely charge her. What are S and T gonna do? Will they go there you suppose?
To: ecurbh
Cool...
I spent some time rearranging the bach'pad. Got some more wire shelf units. An nite stand... to replace... my cardboard furniture that I've been using.
Am now 1 week into the "new and improved" Ramius, and I'm feeling better already. Got an exercise mat-- and have actually been using it. Pulled the couple of freeweights out of the hiding place-- and have actually used them. Taking the stairs and walking more.
It's not much, but its a start.
