Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Does she have The One Ring? Maybe that's what all this "Expect me when you see me" stuff is all about...

Heh! A bit more grey in the hair.
I had cut my hair really short the day after we got married and hated it. In this picture I had finally got it grown out to where I could get a blunt cut again and started letting it grow out again.

I really need to check on the chickens!!! But my insulated coverall hasn't been "cleared" by Steve (checked for brown recluses). I know you might think this is silly, but it's a viable concern around here! I've got it laying on the livingroom floor...thinking of jumping on it. Maybe get the jedis to jump on it with me...they'll think it's a lot of fun.

...they'll think it's a lot of fun.Sure, and with the help of a good therapist, they will even understand it. ;~D

Wandering around FR this morning, I think we need to hide the sugar cookies. People are nuts.
Speaking of Amazon, I forgave them (since I now have two copies of the ROTKEE). I started to pre-order the Harry Potter #6. But if I'm not ordering anything else, one day shipping was $16.00. That's a bit spendy.

Happy anniversary, 2J.
It's another nice quiet day today. I ought to be able to get my grades today if the site ever comes back up. Crossing my fingers.

one day shipping was $16.00. That's a bit spendy. But that's not Amazon making much on the xaction. If I were to overnight a book to you, it would cost about the same.

And, speaking of circuses...did anyone see Katie Colonic this morning? We hates them, but we get the best local news and weather from NBC in the a.m.
Katie had a new "do" and was wearin' this black and white checked (or some pattern) coat.
Looked like she wuz runnin' off to join the circus...

But that's not Amazon making much on the xaction. Oh I know that (maybe I shoulda started a thread).
All I meant was it'll be cheaper just to run to Wal-Mart that night.

Don't preorder! Go to a midnight party.... er... well, reserve a copy at Borders, it'll cost the same as the Amazon price, and pick it up the day it's released.
