The Hobbit Hole XVIII - Though we pass them by today...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 12/20/2004 9:01:36 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Though we pass them by today...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Jeepers (no pun intended!) So glad you're ok. Also glad you got your 'physics' looked into so now you know the changes you need to make to stay healthy longer!

Evening Ramius - very glad to hear you're alright. Your guardian angel is going to put in for overtime.

Sorry bout the Cherokee, but Jeeps are replaceable, yourself, on the otherhand, is not.

If you have a spare corner, Larry, Daryl & Daryl Inc. will be glad to install it. :-)

We have a closet in the livingroom, but we'd need a much smaller tree. Soo, ain't gonna happen here either.

Well, we're keeping an eye on this curiosity of yours...

Hehehe.... but you see, you've got it the wrong way around... coming up with crimes is dumb. It's solving the mystery that's cool...

Say, have you ever seen the series "Andromeda", or wanted to...? I have a bunch of VCDs I'll no longer need since I'm going to be re-recording the series onto DVDs...
