Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We just have cold frostiness and no snow. They cancelled our snow forecast, for now ;~D

Took the dogs out for a walk in the back forty...

Gidget would really like me to just throw the stick.

Yeah, that's what we're worried about... we're hoping she gets back before I do (I leave Saturday). And she's already panicking. I'm a "que sera sera" type when it comes to travel, she worries constantly. Of course, my four flights this year make me a big league traveller next to her...

Hair, that black dog looks just like he's always been there. What a good looking pooch.
What ever happened with Flakey Woman?
To: 2Jedismom
She didn't show up yesterday, kindof wish it wasn't hanging over our heads that she might just show up, I'm reluctant to leave him out in the yard where she'd see him even though I really suspect he is not really her dog.
To: HairOfTheDog
She didn't leave a number or anything, huh? Where you could call her back?
I doubt she'll show up...she probably doesn't even remember the conversation. When you were talking about her, I kinda got the mental picture of that woman brushing her hair with the imaginary hairbrush that I encountered in the steakhouse bathroom...'member that?

I mean that in the nicest way.

It's finally snowing here.
Think I'll start the hot spiced cider.

I know i've told about it before...she turned to me with her eyes all bugged out and said "There are some really wierd people in this place!" and I had Joshua with me and I said "Well, it takes all kinds!" and left real quick...
Wonder when that happened...
I remember talking about it in the Hole....Bear, when did that happen, do you know?

I just received a package from Amazon UK!! I got the full HP British sets for Clare and Joseph for their birthdays. I got a set for myself, too. After all, when they move out, what would I read? ;o). Took a bath on the exchange rate, though. OUCH!
I pre-ordered 3 of the British Vol 6!

ROTFL.... we are talking about looney people, and out of nowhere, SuziQ screams SHUT UUUUUP!
To: 2Jedismom
LOL!... yeah - I get the same image!
But Homer is being kept cooped up a little for the time being... not that he minds just loungin' on the couch.

To: SuziQ
Woot! They'll love them, I'm sure! But yeah, the exchange rate...!
"Philosopher's Stone" is where you'll notice the most differences, although "Prisoner of Azkaban" has a couple rather odd omissions, nothing major.
