Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Though we pass them by today...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

All I know is that I refuse to be the first one to leave this time... What are we gonna do.... squat at g'nads and refuse to leave?
To: Corin Stormhands
Sheesh! People will truly buy anything.
But it is big business. They bring snow down here in truckloads and charge folks to play with it and in it for a few minutes.
That's just plain silly.

When OB and I were in grad school we had absolutely no extra money, so we made our own Kahlua. We used bourbon, a real vanilla bean and a couple of other things, IIRC. I can look for the recipe, if anyone is interested.
It's amazing what passes for drinkable when you're young and broke! LSA

.... squat at g'nads and refuse to leave? Yeah, you tell Stinky yer gonna "squat" at his house...

The 2005 model is really beautiful. I love the revamped classic-style grille.
They do have a convertible though.

Darlin' if'n you want, next time we get some snow, I'll ship some to ya...
To: RosieCotton
It isn't too pricey these days. Stores stocked up for the holidays and now are selling the stuff off cheaper to get it off the shelves.
I bet you'll find a great deal when you go look.

That was the concept car... I haven't seen a convertible in production yet. Should be pretty soon, though...
But yah... it's gorgeous. It's a 68 shelby, only with more power, and better brakes. :-)

What are we gonna do.... squat at g'nads and refuse to leave? Um. That may not be very wise. I'll squat down the street from g'nads, just to be safe. *laugh*
Evenin', sis!

Why not? After all, I already have The Shoes of Power.
Might as well let them "see" some of home for a bit. *grinning wickedly*

Aragorn's speech made me cheer at the charge, too. Theoden's just grabbed me by the throat. What a description!

Oh phooey! I thought it was a pic of one available now.
They'll bring them out eventually. And hopefully, retain the improved braking system when they do. :)

Corin: The Shoes of Power are a dangerous tool, Ruthy.
Ruthy: Why? Why should we fear to wear them?
Corin: They are not all accounted for, the lost Shooooooeees. You do not know who else may be wearing another pair."
