Maybe I should turn up the volume so I can hear the movie in the garage. I could clear some of that stuff so I can get the car in.
Putting the car in the garage? Rather a novel concept, isn't it?
...yer an animal...
Yeah! Rather innovative, I thought.
ecurbh is reluctant... Says he's a little worn out from yesterday!
Give him some Vitamin E...
Is that in Espresso?
We may go have some oysters for lunch.
Coffee....check!
Chocolate spoon....check!
Movie...check!
>>Chocolate spoon....check!
Heh!!
Aldis has this hazelnut chocolate spread...oh my, it's so good! It's like Nutella...but much cheaper.
It's called a "spread" so presumably you're supposed to spread it on something but I've never stopped to figure that part out. I just gobble it up right out of the jar. I imagine it's not that great for me. It has less saturated fat than peanut butter, but I don't recall the last time I scarfed down not one, but two jars of peanut butter...
Mmmm...hazelnut spoon...
Good morning everyone. Back to School day for the jedis.
It's very rich. I have a threshold where I just have to stop eating it...my throat wants to shut up and not take in anymore.
I fight it as long as I can. LOL!!!
Am taking Mom to the airport today around noon. 'Twas a nice visit.
C'mon, Frodo! Don't be a sucker!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Once again we want to thank you for all your positive thoughts, cards, emails and prayers!!!!
Andy has been transferred to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.....its is approx. 7 miles from Bethesda. Any mail sent to Bethseda will be brought to him by the Marine Liaisons Office. George and I are continuing to stay at the Navy Lodge. When Andy is released from the hospital and classified as an outpatient, he will be living at the Mologne House on post....we willl stay with him until he is comfortable getting around on his own.
Andy is getting his strength back....he lost quite a bit of weight...the transfer to WRAMC is very positive...he is healing quickly and has remained infection-free!!! They will continue to monitor his hearing loss and eyesight, as well as the shrapnel wound on his arm. Thank goodness he was in excellent physical condition when he was injured!!!!! His full rehab - including physical and occupational therapy - will take 6 - 8 months....inbetween phases he should get some weekend passes and 30 days convalescent leave. He is expected to fully recover and with the help of advanced technology, be able to everything he wants to do....run, swim, rock climb, etc. !!! It's all pretty amazing! He will be fully evaluated by his rehab team early next week...so we will take one day at a time as we begin the next phase of "Andy's Excellent Adventure!"
If you would like to stay in touch...Andy's address is:
[Freepmail me]
God Bless!
Chris and George
I sent Andy a Christmas Card on behalf of the Hobbit Hole. I also asked if there was any way we could help and got a request that I've been trying to get organized and hope to post today. I've spoken with Hair about it already.
I finally purchased the Time Magazine with his picture in it! I even showed it to the check-out lady!
I'm glad your Mom was able to spend some time with y'all during the Holidays!
Glad to hear he's doing well.
I found the magazine with his picture in it last week, 2J. Thanks for the updates; it keeps him close to our hearts and in our prayers.
She's resting up from Grandma duty. The little nephew gave her a workout! The new niece is too precious for words. Will work on uploading pics sometime this week.
