New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Cholesterol medicine!
What brand are you imbibing?
Leschee....hic!
Rosemount Estate...Australia 2003.
The longest deployment that we went through was 7 months and that was bk (before kids). He was gone alot when Rebecca was little but she was so little. We are so thankful to have him here now and not have to worry about him going off somewhere...not until God takes him anyway. As far as that goes, I just keep reminding myself that He loves me and the kids and all things are in His hands.
You can see the light at the end of the tunnel...do what you can to talk Steve up to the boys when he isn't there and say things like "I'll ask dad when he gets home if it's a good idea." It will be better asg.
You're gonna have to share with me the pros and cons of teaching the boys via computer...I'm still not sure how you do it or where I can find out some info on it. School is going well but sometimes it's hard for me to keep them on task. I think I just need to be more organized and structured. We only have about 3 weeks left before we take a break. Before I start the next school year, I want to build the solar system and hang it from the ceiling downstairs, paint a timeline on the wall down there, and help Rebecca get started on a scrapbook album of her life so far.
We are so looking forward to seeing you all this summer.

hmmm. splittin' wedges, sledges.
I concur when brush hog meets sledge, not a pretty sight.
Pinot Noir is good the second day too I see.
Good tips. I'll do that this next semester. Thing is, I didn't even realize this was an issue until this five day break! Steve and the boys spent a LOT of time together, just putzing around...working on bycicles and such. I think "anxiety" may even be too strong a word for Matthew's reaction...more like timidity?
Our curriculum that we use is put out by Bob Jones University Press. We bought the curriculum, just like any other...it comes with workbooks, worktexts, and teacher's manuals. Then, in addition to the curriculum, we signed up for their satelite classes. They broadcast the classes (usually in the night) and we record them. Each recording is a week's worth. The classes are coordinated with the curriculum and the teacher "teaches" the class. I am nearby and usually listen, reinforcing what the teacher says. Also, the teacher will say "Go get your mom...she needs to help you with this." Even Joshua is a pro at "pausing the tape" and getting me to help! We even have an exercise time we do together! LOL

Well, I don't think I have found any useful tools on the property since we moved in here, but about the second day, my old labrador found an ancient tennis ball buried in a thicket of jungle...she was absurdly pleased with herself for having done that.
Still searching.
*snicker* Sometimes schedules just got forgotten. As long as learning is happening, that's not always a bad thing.
I'd rather have them too dry than too sweet.
Oh, Aussie reds are always good. Australian red and New Zealand whites...
I'm more partial to reds.
I like reds, but whites go with almost everything...
Reds look better in my wine glasses. :)
I don't like wine to stay in my glass that long.
Wine should be sipped and savored, not guzzled.
I drink small amounts, but many of them. Constantly refreshing my glass, so I drink as much as I want without feeling forced to drink more than that.
I like to give the wine a chance to "breathe." And then I do the swirly thing to check out the legs.
*ahem* Headaches are a common side effect of statins...
