EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -(AP) Eli Manning's best game as a pro wasn't enough to stop Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Roethlisberger threw for a career best 316 yards and threw four straight passes to set up Jerome Bettis' game winning 1 yard run with 4:57 left in the game, leading the Steelers to a 33-30 come from behind win over the New York Giants.

Dude, if I was a Steelers fan I would be Euphoric, Warm, and Comfy with those stats. But the biggest thing is the Steelers have a rookie quarterback that is blowing the doors off of some of the more seasoned and talented QB's of the league. Including the 54 million dollar wonder kid.

I still don't think they match up to the 74 through 79 Steelers.I agree. They do look good but NO TEAM will ever match up to that team!

Lemme guess, Sean Salsbury? He's easily the biggest blowhard in sports media today, especially considering that he accomplished zip in his piddling spare career.

Speaking of sorry officiating, that was a ridiculous review overrule of the Redskin's interception handoff for a touchdown. Even if the handoff is ruled a pass(a 1 inch pass at most), the hand was ahead of the player and the ball moved slightly back, not forward, in its sideways motion. The goofball announcer blew that one, too.
Good thing I'm not a Redskins fan!

The Steelers not only beat New England and Philadelphia they DOMINATED them. Those games weren't even close. But our defense seems to have lost some steam the last couple of weeks(zero sacks against the Giants??). Hoke has been playing well in the middle with Casey Hampton out but they still aren't getting enough penetration. Hopefully that's because they're looking forward to the playoffs. And it's ridiculous that they might have to go 15-1 just to get the first round bye. Teams in the NFC are going to get in with 7-9 records.

That was a terrible call as well. It was not a pass!

The Dolts...outside in frigid weather playing against a team with a staunch defense? The Colts wil lgo down in the first round....screw the Mannings

I'm with you. For a team with the 'best' defense, the 'best' offense they barely squeaked by the lowly Giants.

An outstanding performance by the entire team, considering their best receiver and best running back are both sidelined. They should be healthy and back playing just in time for the playoffs. It's never a bad idea for backups to get quality playing time heading into the playoffs.

The hottest hamburger in Pittsburgh is the "Ruthless" burger. Go Big Ben! Yes, and everyone here lives in Roethlis-Burgh.

It's never a bad idea for backups to get quality playing time heading into the playoffs. My concern is that the guys coming back might be out of sync and not get enough play time before the playoffs start.

With this game, Bettis passes Franco Harris for Steelers record of most 100 yard games with 48.

Wow, that is amazing spin for a game that the Steelers barely eeked out.
Interesting that you should note that the Steelers had some offensive injuries. The Giants defense is hurt so badly that they played the last 20 minutes of the game with the left tackle who is #6 on their depth chart.
And yes I am a bitter Giants fan.

Let me tell you something.... every one of the players on all the pro football teams are the best of ALL the college kids..... and the college kids were the best of ALL the high school kids. When a pro team is deep into the season and they do not come out on the field "up", they can lose to anybody, no matter how good they have been all year.
That is the story of today...... and we won!
Emotion..........and injuries.
Go Stillers!

Are you saying Plexiglass is a better receiver than Ward. Last time i checked Ward was the best receiver and the #1 on the depth chart.
Randle El had 149 yards (5 rec) receiving- 1 TD
Ward had 134 yards (9 rec).
