As a long-time conservative, a Viet Nam veteran, lifetime Christian, and as someone with an inquisitive mind, I need to understand why George Bush was chosen to carry the banner of Conservatism?
More evidence of a tiny mind...
Let me explain something as simply as I can. A tax cut simply means that the government and the losers who leech on it, collect less than they would otherwise. If you think the government makes money, or has to borrow it, I thank god that you remain on the insignificant fringes of politics.
Until I understand what the question actually is I can not answer it.
Is it, did you pick Bush because he was more Conservative then McCain?
Did you pick Bush because you agree with most of his values?
There really is not a question there to answer based on the data provided.
"My medals are far less valorous than either McCain's or Kerry's, but even their modest accomplishment was tarnished- as were those of all Viet Nam vets- when the President participated in the defamation- all this from a man who, as was discovered in the last election, specifically requested NOT to serve in the war zone. "
Kerry lied to get his purple hearts, that has been proven, and he lied in 1971 about all soldiers.
Mind of AS is by default a liar in his defense of Kerry.
That is a lie.
If he's not a troll, why is he not responding with debate? Where is he?
Even if a liberal troll came on here and asked a serious question, I'd say answer it.
Why waste time with a troll? We get enough around here, and we don't need to start feeding them.
BTW, Not all newbies who ask questions are trolls.
Not even remotely original. Say your prayers.
Check this out. This guy thinks John Kerry is some kind of war hero.
I smell the ozone and hear the distant thunder coming...
Having said that, welcome to FR.

I do believe you are mis-imformed here as well.
While 9/11 certainly had an incredible financial impact on our nation, the President borrowed huge amounts of money for tax cuts.
A libertarian who believes tax cuts are borrowed money? As if the money were the property of the government in the first place? How...interesting.
We are headed into bunny/pancake territory :-)
Some debate. Should we call it?
You part of the DU Troll welcoming committee?

He's been zotted. Troll.
You were saying...?
Most of them think that the Federal Government should collect no taxes at all.
Your prayers are suggested to be along the lines of:
"Mighty Admin Mod, we who have attempted foul acts of trollery upon the fair threads of this forum do plead for our unworthy thread life. Though we are but thread worms, we plead for thy mercy and generostit-*ZOT*"
Umm, I never could get that right.
Mod chimed in at post 45...

You may be right. Most trolls should be ignored, but if a decent question or in this case, talking points come our way that want a response, it doesn't hurt to engage your mind a bit and answer it, unless it's just a DUer question (or talking points) that are completley rediculous, and I don't think this one quite counts as that.
When the President took office the federal government's books were balanced- and, I might add, they had been balanced by a Democrat.
The purse strings are controlled by the house. clinton was drug kicking and screaming to a balanced budget. Standard dem talking point that clinton was the one that cleaned up the budget.
It was a leftie pretending to be a libertarian and failing miserably.
They don't even grasp the basic concepts of libertarianism and conservatism.
