President Bush, center, is presented with a helmet from Kurt Busch, right, 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion, in the Oval Office of the White House, Monday. Also in the photo are, from left to right, Joseph Galli Jr., Mike Helton, Jimmy Fennig, Jack Rousch, and Geoff Smith.
It's almost time to dust off the old remote, put in new batteries and get ready to go racin'!
Looks like you're slackin' girl!!!
There's a bunch of us tryin!! lol
(poor Newman has 0%, I personally think he has sex appeal for his guts, no fear qualifying runs) Mikey and Harvick have 1% and they are both cute! (proves polls don't work)
Today it's JG 28% Jr 27%
In a way I hope Jeff wins. He gets a bad rap sometimes, as did Jr for a while during the F-911 stuff. That's why I call myself the defender of Nascar drivers. I'm always having to set things straight for folks who like to spread unconfirmed or erroneous information about some of them.
Finally!!!!
Dusted off:
remote/trackpass/speakers
wireless keyboard/mouse
#2 computer for screen caps
Pages and pages of track notes for FRRL
Rear #8 bumper for Steve ;-)
small fridge for refreshment during race
porta potty (just kidding)
Jacks chair & dog bones for assistance when CK is at work
oxygen for plate races!
autographed Jr hat for luck when needed.
Too bad it didn't.
Anyway, enough of last year's anger. I hope Junior, Jimmie and Jeff have their game faces on this season, because I want to see them fight it out at the end.
Jeff was on our local Channel 5 (KTLA) TV happy news program this morning. He looks GREAT! But he seemed subdued and his tone was more serious than I can ever recall. If it means he's serious about this season, that will make me happy.
Pace car unveiled on national TV morning show
NEW YORK This morning, during the national broadcast of Fox & Friends, Chevrolet unveiled a new 2005 Corvette that will pace NASCARs most prestigious event -- the Daytona 500 -- on Feb. 20. Dale Earnhardt Jr., the 2004 Daytona 500 champion, was on-hand to introduce the pace car.
The pace car is based on the new 2005 production Corvette, which brings more power and precision to drivers than any Corvette in history, said Brent Dewar, Chevrolet general manager. The Daytona 500 provides a good opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the Corvette.
The design of the Daytona 500 Corvette pace vehicle includes elements that reflect the heritage and attitude of historic winning Corvette race cars. It is painted in millennium yellow with a black racing stripe centered across the hood, roof and trunk lid. The Daytona 500 logo is displayed on each door along with Chevys An American Revolution slogan on the rear spoiler.
We are proud to once again have our good partners at Chevrolet pace the field at NASCARs signature event, said Robin Braig, president of Daytona International Speedway. We are looking forward to showing off the 2005 Corvette pace car on national television and in front of millions of fans.
The Corvette pace car is nearly identical to the production version. Both are powered by a 6.0liter V-8 LS2 engine that produces 400 horsepower at 6,000 rpm. They have a top speed of 186 mph on a race track and reach 0-60 in 4.2 seconds.
Chevy returns to the Daytona 500 with an impressive win record 17 victories, the most of any manufacturer. Chevrolet also kicks off the 2005 racing season as the defending manufacturers champion, a feat it has achieved 28 times. In 2004, Chevy drivers captured 22 wins to tie a record for most wins in a single season during NASCARs modern era.
Weve worked with our Monte Carlo teams during the off-season, particularly on aerodynamics and engine development, and feel very good about going into this race, said Dewar.
This will be the 34th consecutive year General Motors has provided the Official Pace Car for the Daytona 500. The Daytona 500 will be one of 60 NASCAR events Chevrolet will pace in 2005, including 28 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, 17 Busch Series and 15 Craftsman Truck Series races.
Personally I could care less who wins as long as they get with the program, get on the track and RACE!!! :)
Time for CK clock again: http://freehost03.websamba.com/chefkeith/count.html
What do you mean Shawna Robinson's not on the list? (then again, she would win by default even though nobody's seen her in a couple years :-)

It is a Federal Offense to ship Armadillos across state lines...
Shhhh, the federales don't need to know that. They should, however, be concentrated in keeping Geoffrey Bovine north of the Mason-Dixon.
Thanks for the link to Matt's website it's really great. His cats are cute, I can imagine the playtime between his cat and Jr's (see pic of Jr's cat at the bottom of my profile page)
******
ping flutters to Matt's website.
Only if they're alive!!
Now if you are picking up all the roadkill, that would be another issue, but you do realize all of our buzzards are going to have to go on welfare.
