KLOL, 101.1 FM announced Friday that station has changed formats. The station switched from a classic rock format to a Latino music format branded as Mega 101.
KLOL is now branded as Mega 101 FM. The station's web site was listed as under construction, but KLOL's former morning show hosts Walton and Johnson announced on their web site that they were informed Thursday night of the change.
The radio hosts stated on WaltonandJohnson.com that, "Thursday night Walton and Johnson were informed by lower-level management sources via a last-minute phone call that there would be no Walton and Johnson Show tomorrow. In it's place would be Hispanic music programs."
For a "new music" station, the Buzz sure plays a lot of songs that are over 10 years old.

¿Me pregunto donde el artillero-humilde está ocultando?
As respect for Europe declines, will many Americans even want to proclaim "European-Ancestry Pride"?
This whole hyphenated American thing has gone on for too long without a resolution on the matter. It simply balkanizes the county.
There are minority only beauty pageants, music awards, and scholarships. Will a tanner America permit caucasians to engage in the same practice? Does anyone think it would at all even be good for America if we play this same racist game?
Good one.
LAUGH!
It like "In your Face". It's really annoying. I have to go through 6 spanish channels to get from Channel 2 to 13.
Wow. I never thought that would happen.
The illegals always have their way. Next on the agenda blanket amnesty.
At least Spanish television still honors the variety show tradition.
I WOULD like to see SAP (secondary Audio Progamming) offered in ENGLISH since Fox et al offer progamming translated into Spanish.
Instead, the last I checked, one of the Spanish networks was broadcasting the in-store radio (music/sales) for Fiesta grocery stores.
Yes Sir, the Fair Play Rule! I tried the SAP feature and also found it only converts English to Spanish.
On PBS it will sometimes give you reading for the blind (or play by play of progamming). You can listen to the Chronicle while you FReep.
I doubt it is PC. I think it pays for a few of reasons. The listening audience may be tuning into satellite radio or listening to MP3s. Some listeners may even be moving to different formats like country, latino, hip-hop, top 40, or talk radio.
'bout time too, my blanket offends.
That is not a bad idea really. I would probably watch more spanish television there was an English translation.

"Bank made for Hispanics is growing".
Islamics have their own banking system. They don't permit interest. It also provides a convenient cover to money laundering.
Interesting. How is it different from any other bank? Dare I ask.
Better laundry service???
