We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The battle for Fallujah
Current status, from Fox News:
American and Iraqi National Forces have battled to the center of Fallujah.
At this point, 12 Americans are dead, 25 wounded.
Roughly 70% of the city is considered under allied control.
Terrorists have struck back in other areas in Iraq, including abucting three members of the Iraqi PM's own family, according to reports.
There are no accurate counts of terrorist casualties.
In other news...
Fifteen years ago today, the Berlin Wall came down. This event began the shattering of communist dreams in Europe. Nowhere is that more evident than with CNN, America's own Communist News Network. Wolf Blitzer actually publsihed a piece, available on CNN's website, the laments the fall of The Wall.
No kidding.
Some excerpts:
But the collapse of communism in Europe also had another effect. It produced a power vacuum, upsetting a 44-year balance of power that had kept the world reasonably stable.
And while the West was accustomed to dealing with communists, dealing with terrorists was a different matter.
"The problem [with terrorists] is that they don't have a return address. If you know where it came from, they know that they would get nuked in return and that creates a certain deterrence," says Hammes [quoted by Blitzer.]
Note to CNN and all leftist journalist--if you like Communism so much, there's a communist state nearby, just 70 miles south of Florida, you may go to. Thanks.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Ma'am.....:-)
Would it give you an idea of the way my day went if I told you that I finally got to eat lunch at 8:30 tonight?
:-)
I had my annual check up with my Neurologist this afternoon.
He asked me how I was getting along. I told him, "some good days, some bad days",, then explained that I sometimes take a pain pill and go to bed when it gets bad.
He said, "All you need me for is to renew your Rx. You've figured out how to handle your limitations".
Pain Pill & a Nap. Ain't modern medicine grand?
john, he has been "dead" for some time. The moment he was put on life support and then on a ventilator he was a goner. He's just been kept in a vegetative state for these days so the palies can work out their differences and someone can find where he hid the money. No one knows and he's the only one who would pay the bills. It just does my heart good, in a way, these people who believe in "peace to the world" and death to anyone who is not muslim, ie, of a Jewish, Christian, Hindu, and whatever else is dead meat. Islam is the only way...well we'll see.
Dog, Sadie reminds me of Hardy. She was the master of her domain until Blue joined the household. Hardy slept on her and her mistress's side of the bed, she had her "own bathroom", she decided what she would have that day to munch on. Along came "Blue". Blue is a CAT. The first couple of days there was a showdown as to who was going to sleep with their mistress. Whenever Blue made his territory next to the mistress, Hardy would tell him that was NOT HIS PLACE. After a week, Blue began playing with Hardy, and now after 3 months, each has their own place along side their mistress at night, and they play together like ole buddies....figure...just a little patience and understanding...anything can be accomplished.
How is your Mom doing? We mention her quite often in our prayers. She's a keeper.
Actually, I hope that by 3 AM I finally get to take a nap today.
LOL!
Mom is doing good....
Goodness, I am tired! I have moved more furniture than I did when ourdaughter moved into her apartment.
I see Arafat is now REALLY dead and most SINCERELY dead.
Now if we could just get Osama, we'd have a real triple play ... :-)
With Arafat in the news (still!) I found myself thinking of Khalida today. It was (or would have been) her 37th birthday. I wish I could ask her about Arafat, but I know she didn't have much respect for him.
She told me a couple of times about when she was living with the Bedouins when she was about 10. They would send her to town with their dough rolled in balls to bake into small loaves of bread in a public oven. They sent her because they could see how tough she was and knew that no one would mess with her without her handling it.
She said she would see these Israeli soldiers toting their guns and just felt sorry for them, knowing they were hot and hungry. She often would give away one or two loaves to them fresh from the oven before she went back to the Bedouin camp. After a while they discovered what was happening and beat her, saying that to show any kindness to those Israelis was the most shameful thing she could do, something that would bring shame on all of them. They would wail and moan and throw dust in the air over such "betrayal."
But it didn't stop her from doing it. She just couldn't believe that the right thing was to ignore someone in need.
Oh ML. My prayers are with her. And with you. God bless.
it doesn't work? It doesn't dial the phone?

Miss Marple I am sure you'll enjoy that new carpet.
Another warm morning here. 65 out.
Steve Doucey on Fox trying to pin down the PLO representative about exactly WHAT Arafat died from. Lots of tap-dancing there. HA!
