AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1389) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 9, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/09/2004 4:27:56 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The anti-Americanism of the media is reaching new heights in the Battle for Fallujah. The AP has taken 28 "newsworthy" photographs that are making the rounds of the Internet. NOT A SINGLE ONE IS TAKEN FROM THE AMERICAN PERSPECTIVE! EVERY ONE EITHER INTENTIONALLY SHOWS IRAQI CIVILIAN SUFFERING OR THE EXPLOITS OF THE INSURGENTS!

Ok, it is clear some balance is needed. Following are a few of the pro-American photographs of our troops risking their very lives for us out there.

[All photos credit to Fox News.]

Elsewhere in the news:

Howard Dean is considering a bid to replace Terry McAwful as head of the democRATS.

BS says "we shall see the reign of witches pass over," denigrating Thomas Jefferson (that was his quote by using it to slam President Bush.

What is also interesting is that BS says the Jeffersonian quote sums up the frustration of 48% of America. Of course, 48% is not a majority, and the left lost no opportunity of pointing that out over the last four years with respect to the President's popular vote total in 2000.

Five words to BS and those she claims to represent:

YOU LOST! GET OVER IT!

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning M....Well, the dims are saying he doesn't have a mandate "because he was elected by the smallest % for an incumbent President since Wilson".

Dims are also saying the Ohio count will be finished this week and then Ohio will become a blue state.

On the Specter fiasco, if FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THIS, I am against Specter:

On February 12, 1999, on BOTH Articles of Impeachment in the TRIAL of SHAME,
Specter voted NOT guilty, right along with EVERY demoCRAT and a lousy smattering of other RINOs.
I don't give a rip about Scottish Law, either. Specter is NOT dependable.

Here is some more explanation from the New York Times.

Even as they sought to put much of the blame of Mr. Kerry's loss on external events, Mr. Carville and Mr. Shrum acknowledged at least implicitly what had been a continuing criticism of Mr. Kerry, that he never presented an overarching view of what his presidency might be like. The two men suggested that the Democratic Party could become competitive only if it came up with what Mr. Greenberg described as a "narrative" that offered a clear choice to voters.

What cost Kerry the election is his lack of leadership qualities. Kerry has always tried to prove he had leadership qualities by painting a glowing picture of what he did in Nam. That is never the way real leaders prove they can lead. Real leaders walk into the spotlight, present their assessment of the situation. They list the nations problems. A leader then proceeds to lay out a plan for fixing the problems and states how he will implement that plan. To the extent they can, Leaders start implementing their vision.

Early on in my career I had the pleasure of working for men who did Radio Station turn arounds. They assumed management of stations doing poorly and turned them into stations that were doing quite well. The successful turn around artists just walked in and took charge. Employees and clients would learn of their previous success from others. They never felt the need to tell people they were successful leaders. They just lead.

They also never needed to trash the previous management. Leaders never waste time blaming others for the problems faced. They just enumerate the problems and explain the fixes.

Over and over Kerry tried to prove to voters that he was a leader by claiming to be a leader. It did not work. It never works.

One of my best friends was a manufacturing firm turn around artist. I once asked him what methods he used to take charge and earn the respect of those who worked in the companies he was hired to turn around.

He told me to think of it this way. If one is a great basketball player one does not prove it by telling people about how well you have played in the past. You just walk out on the court and shoot the eyes out of the basket ... then put on a ball handling exhibition. People will get the idea that you are a very good ball player.

Kerry tried to tell us he could play. He never demonstrated his ability, he just talked about when he was a leader and what Bush was doing wrong.

Bush on the other hand is not a great talker. He just walked out on the court and shot some baskets. Playing, not talking about playing is what elected Bush and defeated Kerry.

"I think it's just nervousness because the man doesn't have an ounce of "smirkiness" in his entire body."

I think the smirk was from trying so hard not to hit Kerry upside the head.

Bush showed a lot more restraint than I possibly could have.

Contratulations to Rick on his progress! In those pictures, I see a smile of confidence - it is a well known fact that bodies heal in miraculous ways when a positive attitude is present! We pray for Rick each day and our church says a special prayer for him each Sunday.

Well said. Having served in the military, the best leaders at the squad, platoon, or company level don't go out and talk about leading. They just do it. Leave the pep talks to folks like George S. Patton.

Throughout the campaign, I kept remembering some comments you made some time ago about voters looking not just at the candidate but at his wife and their relationship. I've forgotten exactly how you put it but remember the point.

Time after time after time we've seen pictures of George and Laura Bush together and the love that they share is so obviously sincere. At the same time, there has been picture after picture of the bride of Frankenstein and her spouse with her either pushing him away or him dragging her with him. No affection, no respect, no glowing love evident at all.

I wonder how many voters wondered if she couldn't even stand him, why should the country have to tolerate him. Perhaps the thoughts were never even brought into the conscious mind but were back there, influencing people in the voting booth.

Thank you Lysie, In the picture of him sitting up, you can see the two teeth missing, one of them was a gold tooth, he was joking about taking a metal finder out there and finding it.
He has a great sense of humor.

Remember what the President said just 6 days ago early on in his victory speech? "Laura is the Love of My Life. I'm glad you all love her too." :))

My commnents went back to the first Senate race of George Voinovich here in Ohio. Going into the final weeks of the campaign Voinovich was behind with woman voters. There was indeed a large gender gap. Women were not going to vote for Voinovich. The voinovich camapaign had run adds on the issues that appeal to woman. They had little effect.

Someone got the idea to shoot some totally candid footage of George and Janet Voinovich taking their eveing walk in the city park. The footage was amazing.

They did the spot using the candid footage of them just walking in the park. The voice over announcer listed the Voinovich record of political succes, The voice over talked of how George took over a bankrupt Cleveland and restored it to prosperity. It talked about how Voinvovich had produced a rainy day fund while governor and then cut taxes. The kicker line was, "But George always says his most important accomplishment was convicing Janet to marry him." It seemed to say that George Voinvoich was a politician who put his wife and family first. How NOVEL!!!

The results were incredible. Women looked at the spot and reasoned... mean spirited Politicians don't have wives that look at them like Janet looks at George. And mean spirited Politicians don't look at their wives the way George looks at Janet. Woman reasoned that when the media trashed George Voinovich they were lying. The video of their walk was honest. It was not an act. It was not staged to show anyting other than their real relationship.

Many feel that spot elected George Voinovich.

That Voinovich spot and its result revealed how many voters make decisions. They many times do not vote on the complexity of major issues. Lots of voters do not undersand the complex policies that a president decides. Lots voters make their decisions based on human terms.

How a man is percvieved by his own wife and children is a good measure of a man. How he relates to his family also defines him.

Close elections are often decided by the following logic. The voter thinks.. I don't know what should be done about the economy. I don't know what we should do about foreign policy. I just know George W. Bush and his wife and kids are good people who care about each other. It is very likely that they care about me too. John Kerry and his family look like fakes. There is no love an warmth in them. If they don't really care for each other, how can they care for me.

Such feelings get the Bush lever punched.

Laura could be the same person she is... but if George did not relate to her the way he does, she would not help him at the polls. If Laura was nasty and George was himself it would not help him at the polls.

The logic is a couple that has the art of doing a family right will have a better chance at doing the nation right as well.

Let me put it this way ..

The best way to foster great family values is to re-elect a great family in the White House.

gardner, what a nice looking son you have.....and praise be, he's smiling!

gardner, I don't think it a coincidence that just this Sunday in adult Sunday School...we had a video about a young man...(maybe close to your son's age)...and he fell off a clift while hiking...(he has a wife and 2 small children)...

...and the fall burst..his spine open ....

...in the first place, they didn't expect him to live....

...he not only lived, they fully expect him to walk.

...He had a lot of other injuries, including internal.....and the internal injuries healed very very well....

...I don't know if there are similarities in these two men....

..his cord was not severed, but I don't know how badly it was hurt, as I came in late....but my husband saw the whole thing...

...they are calling it a miracle!!!!!!!!!!
