AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1388) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 8, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/08/2004 4:28:08 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

And so the democRATS continue to look out upon their election wasteland, pondering what could have been...

"Guess I'll need a ranch out there in South Dakata," said Tom Daschle, as he reflected upon the loss he took on November 2. "I'll teach those darn Dakotans a lesson, I'll be in their face every day, all year. By the way, Nancy, where is South Dakota?"

Why, it's just west of Minnesota, one of the few states we were able to work our special election magic," said Nancy Pelosi, responding to the request from the recalcitrant Senate democRAT leader.

"We would have won them all had John Kerry not flip-flopped on us and pulled our election specialists at the last minute."

"You're right, Terry, it's hard to know who to trust anymore. But that call you made to Ohio, Hillary, that was priceless, but I just can't get over the fact that Senator Kerry refused to stick to the script. He was supposed to use all those trial lawyers you had so thoughtfully pre-positioned in Ohio just for that purpose."

"Yes, Nancy, I had it all set up. I had the extra ballots all printed, and everything was ready to go, just according to the plan we had laid out. We had those devilish Republicans sweating, Hillary had our network partners on board, and John does us in. We would have had Ohio with just a couple more hours. My staff had the story all ready that dozens of ballot boxes had just been discovered in Cincinatti--we have to credit Paris Glendenning, that stunt of his in the 1994 election in Maryland was shear brillance. And we were ready to do it again!"

"Yes, he was a trailblazer. He knew how to get things done, how to protect the citizens, how to make sure that we took care of them because we know what's best for them. John just couldn't shake that flip-flop habit of his. We were even ready to announce that he had lost the election before we won it.

"Nancy, you are so right. If you can't trust a fellow democRAT, who can you trust?"

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Thanks for reporting in, Sweetie. Good News that the infection is receding.

I just got home. Drove 45 miles to get here. About every mile and a half there was a bloody mess on the highway. Lots of deer killed tonite out there. Season doesn't ope for a couple of weeks, yet.

I had to brake 3 times during the trip,,, each time slowing for an indecisive one who couldn't decide whether or not to chance a trip across the road.

I hope you have a restful night.

I don't know if this works or if it's in the urban legend category but I've heard that blinking one's headlights, from low beams to high, rapidly and repeatedly, will make deer 'freeze' rather than suddenly deciding to dart out in front of the car.

We hit a deer once (or, more accurately, she hit us) and we didn't hear this little trick until later. Thankfully, since then we haven't had an opportunity to test it out. Have seen plenty of deer but none that seemed on the verge of dashing out right in front of the car. I did try it out with a bunny rabbit that was in the back yard one night when I got home and it did 'freeze' while I was flicking the lights so maybe there's something to the story. It's worth trying if one can have the presence of mind and the time to do it.

We had our first frost last night Kassie.. I miss the weather from my many years of living in the south.

Actually I just bought chicken. I cook meat less than I watch TV... But this is for relatives etc. For some reason Tofu doesn't strike a happy chord with the elderly invalid relatives

But the fruits/veggies all looked great.(as did the bakery!!!!) I did all other shopping yesterday at another store.

Guess I better get out my cross country skis, boots, etc.

Oh brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am not looking forward to our trip to KS on Thursday of this week.

Our A/C came on yesterday afternoon and evening. We have it set at 80. I haven't unpacked our winter clothes yet. I'm going to have to dig them out to take with us.

The first snow is always the worse. People forget how to drive in it. Once I get acclimated...I'm all set for the season.

This is my husband's favorite time of year...ANTICIPATING the first snowstorm and stocking up on food and supplies.

Mr. Marple loves snow. Nothing makes him more jolly than snow falling in large quantities.

As tired as I am of this humidity/heat, I'd never be ready for bone chilling cold weather.

I do fondly remember the last Christmas we spent in KS. Right after we had opened our presents, we had a beautiful snow storm. Everything was decorated with huge snow flakes. It was just beautiful.

In Virginia we got about 12 inches of snow. It snowed at midnight and everyone was out playing in it. Dusty and the dogs did not remember snow from earlier years.

It stayed for a good week. We lived in a forest and the sun just couldn't peek through the limbs and branches to melt it.

LOL, my little granddaughters would wonder if he was Christmas.

They call Santa, Christmas. They know he's jolly all the time.
