Hello. A year ago my beloved cousin was killed in a car accident. Today, I was on google and happened to think of the tragedy. I googled her name and found your site. this is the link: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1012399/posts?page=9
I do not see why you people have to make an issue out of her death. not everyone was disrepsectful, but as you can see some were.
I am not a political person - I'm not a liberal. but come on - why do you have to make fun of the dead? would you like it if I posted about your dead mother or brother so that others could lampoon and crack jokes about her political belifs?
do you have any respect for her family?
I was quite saddened to see people who never met this girl judge her. I dont care if you disagree with her political, grow up.
Somethings you just have to ignore and take the highroad - making fun of a tragic event serves no purpose other than to highlight your own idiocy.
Welcome to freerepublic. Sorry for the loss of your cousin. Sounds like she was a great kid. (Who, besides me, wasn't a liberal when they're 18?)
I hope your family has drawn closer to each other and to God after such a horrendous loss.
If you took anything as lame-brain...it was NOT the death of your cousin. It would've been a person's political leanings.
This is a political site, one that helped re-elect President Bush. We lean to the right and are proud of it. We 100% support our military and have 0 tolerance for someone who doesn't.
We also goof around alot...we pray for one another...we are political activists. Hang around! Navigate the site, read the articles that are posted....you'll enjoy yourself and learn something about the world ya live in.
Welcome aboard, and as we've ALL said, we're sorry for your loss. You mentioned prayer...good for you. Please never stop as that will help you through this.
Again, welcome aboard!
And no one was happy she was killed, so don't try to make that inference. The driver of the other car, aged 17, was wearing a seat belt, and he wasn't seriously injured. The article noticeably didn't mention if your cousin was seat-belted, and if not, we can all learn a good from this.
My condolences to your entire family, and I hope that your grief has subsided to the "tolerable" level. Trust me, time is a good friend in recovering from such losses.
I have no idea how you found that one thread among countless thousands, but nobody was happy that your cousin was tragically killed in that accident.
"Why didn't you comment on that? Why didn't you say thanks for that instead of just launching into a negative diatribe?"
Maybe bionnaki can tell us him/her self, but my guess is it's because he/she is another left winger who thinks everyone who supports Bush is EVIL and anyone who opposes Bush is a SAINT.
Bionnaki I too am very sorry that your cousin died, I'm sure it was a nightmare for your family. But I read that thread and most of the comments reflected similar feelings. If anything you should blame the reporter who tied your cousin's poltical protests (for life!) into an ironic contrast with her death. Otherwise, obviously, the article never would have been posted here.
thanks proudpapa. Our family is doing much better, but sometimes when things remind you of her, it hurts.
thanks for being kind and understand. I'm glad I see maturity here - and not just you. many kind response.
I really hope the jerks that had "a dark sense of humor" or whatever "americanwolf" called it are in the minority.
God bless your family.
goodbye - I wont bother you people anymore.
Since I have no idea who you are even talking about I know that I couldn't have done anything requiring the high road or low road. Sorry about your loss. Everybody loses someone and it hurts. Don't be slammin people in general because its somehow only your hurt. Now, carryon with your grief in a adult manner.
Let it die already, you coming here ONLINE to a MESSAGE BOARD isnt going to solve anyhting or change anything. People can say what they want, like it or hate it
if you did not like what I posted why not respond to me?
Sniff test
seems legit, but trying to lay a guilt trip... not sure though she was not happy with my dark sense of humor comment...
I can appreciate what you're going through. I lost my only brother June 3rd of last year. He was 34 and 18 months my senior. He had liberal tendencies nearly his entire adult life until he started his own business two years before he died, at which point he became quite a bit more conservative.
Despite our politcs, he was always my best friend.
Damn, I miss him.
You are of course free to do as you wish, but before you leave...
1) Most of us have lost someone dear to us...we understand your grief and I would bet 99% are sorry if the posts caused you pain. Again, I am pleased at how many didn't take this as an opportunity for humor or political rant.
2) You are no bother.
3) If you don't care to stay, come back again sometime.
All the best,
Keith
Sorry to hear about your loss :(
But we were compassionate within the bounds of reasonableness. Lefties hate that. And I do feel somewhat bad about her loss. But I do want to assign a reason, so that others can be safe.
But! I will never ask for water to not be wet... fire not to burn... or a fool's wabbling finger, going back to the fire...
I've learned those copybook headings. (Do you have any idea how many liberals haven't read the classics? or even Kipling?)

I like your tag-line. I do, always think of the cats. And I get p!$$y when people don't close dumpsters. Cats go looking for food and get scrunched because they were in a dumpster. Harumph!
Close dumpster doors. Don't let another cat get hurt because of lazy kitchen staff!! Go check now.

*SIGH* . . . Anyit who would condemn 100,000 strangers for the behavior of one or two . . . Well, let's say the DNA obviously just ain't right in its family!
most of the "disrespectful" remarks centered on her activity in life, not her manner of death.
since the report of her death brought up her political agitation, that's fair game.
moreover, out of a paltry 22 replies, only THREE were actually flippant.
grow a thicker skin.
I smell no eau de troll
of course, my nose is congested, so...?
a bereaved relative is allowed to overreact a bit. I've been there. If you have not yet, you eventually will.
I'd say cut him a little slack.
