AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1386 and 1387) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 6, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/06/2004 4:52:35 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

In direct response to the MoveOnPlease.org commentary (which is here and should be read for contrast, but note, it is "R" rated!), the following is offered:

THANK YOU AMERICA!!

With the crushing defeat of Kerry in the election of November 2, you are no doubt asking yourself, as we here at ATRW have for the last couple of days, who is responsible? Where can the praise be landed? We think the answer is self-evident: the praise lies with you, the ATRW reader and the American voter. We're not gloating. We're not estatic (much). We're just stating the facts.

You wonderful-beyond-words intelligent folks!

Praise you. We appreciate the wins in Mississipi and Tennessee (even though Algore still claims the latter as his home). You are fine American folks with wonderful values that the people in places like New York and California can learn to emulate. You think that Bush'll protect you against Osama bin Laden, and you are right. Bless you.

Florida! You have earned redemption. DemocRATS have worked their butts off lying to you and trying to intimidate you into voting for them. And how did you repay them? You voted Repbulican! Thank you!

And Vermont, and Delaware? Well, you're only three electoral votes, so heck, who cares if you really can't see the way and remain a lost cause.

From the bottom of our hearts, America: BLESS YOU! Bless every last one of you folks! You SAVED the country! We worked our fingers to the bone for you guys...you're wonderful...so happy...

THANK YOU!

The gang here at ATRW!

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

One thing I learned about covering wars, is our forces typically paint a less than good picture about coming battles. They try to prepare the press for the worst case situation. They also try to prepare the troops for the worst case situation. That way both are pleasantly surprised when things go well.

I really suspect Fallujah will go a lot better than our military is painting it.

We are using our planes and choppers to do two things. First to convince as as many ordinary citizens as possible to get out of Fallujah before the real fighting begins. We are also undoubtedly questioning every person who leaves the city. Our troops are very likely getting good info on where the bad guys are and where their ammo and weapons are stored.

We keep putting out the information that we are waiting for the Iraqi government to give us the green light. It is likely the Iraqi government will do so whenever we tell them to do so. What is going on is a bombing campaign that is taking out the defense locations that the terrorists have been constructing since last April. The terrorists are getting hurt badly. The media either does not know or is not reporting the results of the softening up operation.

We are not likely to attack until we have those 6 or 8 thousand terrorists in bad shape. We will want them motivated to give up quickly. It is not likely to be nearly as bad as the media is reporting.

I would remind you of what Saddam's troops including the Republican guard did after weeks of bombing. They gave up. We now have new low power weapons that can destroy parts of buildings. If we know where the terrorists are, they are likely dying in great numbers.

I suspect we are painting a worst case picture of us suffering death and destruction. But when we finally do attack, we may find a lot less resistance than the media is predicting.

Our military is likely painting the situation as a lot worse for us than it is. We want our own media and the public to be pleasantly surprised at how well we do.

Keep the faith. For nearly 2,000 years Arabs have been best at surrendering. They do know how to talk tough before the battle but reserve the right to surrendering quickly. Remember the mother of all battles was not.

#264..That menu sounds yummy!

We're having our Harvest Dinner in 2 weeks...

..just a pre-Thanksgiving get-together dinner after church, at church.

Everyone brings covered dish, and probably share testimonies and thankfulness.

The other day you asked for link to the New York Times article about the election results that contained the following line.

Howard Wolfson, a strategist, burst into the "boiler room" in Washington where the brain trust was huddled and said, "we have 30 seconds" to stop the other networks from following suit. (ie ..declaring the election for Bush)

I just found it again. Here is the link.

We're back home ... got in late last night and have been trying to get some rest, deal with some work-related probs that came up while we were gone, and catch up on FR. Still haven't read through all the ATRW threads ... y'all sure were talkative ... :-)

I wish that I could have been here to celebrate with all of you but our trip was kinda special, too ... *grins*

One thing that occurred to me about the events of Tuesday night, when everyone really knew the outcome but wouldn't admit it ... were the 'rats determined to prevent a true election night victory celebration by the GOP? I really think they are that mean-spirited and petty.

We stopped by to see m-i-l on the way home yesterday. She continues to fail, physically and mentally, ever so gradually. The physical therapist has already said that just about any other person with her problems would be wheel-chair bound ... only her amazing fortitude and determination have kept her going. But I don't think it will be long before that day comes in spite of her fight against it ... and that will be a major blow to her spirits.

Continuing prayers for, as illstillbe would say, all y'all and all y'all's alls.

FR Very, Very slow here. I hope it isn't caused by the new Anti Virus thingy installed here recently.

I've had a delightful afternoon with my 4 y.o. redhead. I took her shopping to purchase her Birthday gift. She selected a Lavender Velour Running suit with a white long sleeved T trimmed in lavender. On sale for $24.

She would have taken half the purses in the store home with us if I'd have allowed it. Interestingly enough, I had already gotten each girl a purse to put in their Christmas Socks.

She is definitely a Girly Girl.

Since we've returned home, she's blown bubbles, played dress up and is now focusing her attention on the Christmas catalogs. She wants something off of each page. This child is in for a huge disappointment.

My daughter used to go through the Sears Wish Book and say (literally) "I want this page ... and this page ... and everything on this page ..."

She was perpetually disappointed ... ;-)

Now she's playing Candyland by herself. There is some redeamingly good in the child or she would be insisting that I play with her instead of letting me FReep.

I think it's time to pick up the toys. BBL

I used to watch 2 boys aged 4 and 5. We would go outside to play catch with a dodge ball. I'd throw the ball to each boy. After about 30 minutes I said..okay time for you 2 to play catch. I'd sit in a chair and watch them stare at each other for 10-15 minutes. They DID NOT know how to play unless an adult was included. Their parents were at their beckon call...bigtime.

After a few months, I was able to get them to play without an adult.(along with other corective measures) Then, public school took over.

Good for the redhead. She's a keeper.

... there are a whole load of Senate seats that are just begging to be released to the Republicans...

I nominate as target every last elected 'official' who attended Michael Moore's Farenblight 9/11 premiere in Washington last June...;-)
