AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1385) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 5, 2004 | All of Us

Posted on 11/05/2004 4:08:09 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

President Bush has already tried to reach out to France and make amends. French President Chirac, however, has also already rebuffed America.

The New York Times is not set for reconcilliation either. They published an op-ed piece today from Krugman that calls Bush a radical and that he will destroy America as we know it. (EN--Well, if we destroy America as seen by the eyes of the liberals, is that necessarily a bad thing?)

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Hey Mozie...just wanted to let you know I have been thinking about you and your family all day. I hope you are all doing as well as can be expected.

It wasn't all that long ago that I lost my father, and I tear up everytime I think of how much it hurts those who lose someone they love so much. November has become an extremely hard month for us, since we lost most of our hope just about this time 2 years ago. I don't know that I'll ever stop missing him - well, duh, of course I won't! A lot of people says that time heals all wounds and maybe that's true, because some of them have, but the pain is still there as sharp as ever at times. I wish so much that my Dad could see my boys play football or hear them tell jokes. In my heart I know he's looking after all of us, and that he can see them, I just want to see him see them, ya know?
A wonderful man that I met in church died earlier this year. We had become very close and he kinda filled in as a surrogate father. He died of a massive stroke 2 hours after my last visit to see him. He was in WW2 and had the same kind of internment that your father-in-law had...and I bawled like a baby through the whole thing.
I remember when my Dad died, the Knights of Columbus guarded his casket at the funeral home and then marched it down the aisle of the church, and I honestly thought I was going to lose my mind from the grief I felt. I was so proud but oh, so sad at the same time. Mark said, "Mom, is Pop a king or something?" That was my Dad telling me it would be okay. :-) I even managed to give the eulogy without shaking or shedding a single tear. I asked my Dad and God for strength and they gave it to me. I still do the same thing today when I'm in difficult circumstances. They always come through.
I just wanted to let you know that I am so sorry for your family's loss. I know how much it hurts and how hard it is to go through the formalities when all you really want to do is just crawl in a hole and hide. Going through that experience made me a stronger person but if I had a chance I would change it and be a little less strong.
Grief has many stages; I'd thought I gone through them all, but I'm still going through them. Just typing this is making me cry. Not for me, but for you and your family.
I just want to let you know that I'll always be here for you need me and praying for you and yours.

(((Hugs)))
Colleen

I didn't mean to give you the impression that we wear shorts because it's so warm. Nashville isn't like a tropical city in the winter, you know. It's just that in our line of work, many of us prefer to wear shorts as much as possible. No one else is wearing shorts and I'm not wearing them when I'm not working. Even in western Nebraska where I grew up or Minnesota where I lived for many years, people wouldn't be wearing shorts in the type of weather I'm talking about unless they were doing something that made them prefer it for work.

I believe we are in the same position with Spector that the democrats were in with Zell Miller. Spector is tolerated because that R after his name gives us one more seat in the Senate and that is the most important thing.

I also think that Spector will not end up being a problem. What is controversial in the papers often turns out to be exagerration by the press, who are always willing to stir up trouble amongst Republicans.

It is also possible that public statements by Spector are meant to lure the Rats into a false sense of security regarding the judicial nominations.

Since I am not privy to internal Senate or administration discussions, I am simply going to wait and see what happens. President Bush was very upset about his judicial nominees being blocked, and I do not think that he will allow Spector to become the new roadblock.

Patience is the watchword.

As far as Alan Keyes, I suported him in the Senate race, since he was running on the Republican ticket. I avoided any controversy about his Senate run on the forums. However, I would point out that Keyes did not get elected, and his call for reparations seemed to me to be a bit less than principled.

That's what I was saying in my post. Obtaining the majority is the most important thing. You deal with the other problems AFTER you have the majority.

I've been thinking about the converstion last night (at least the part where I wasn't FOTFLAHAE) and it seems to me that we have forgotten to inform long-time Republican senators that WE ARE IN THE MAJORITY. They've been so long playing the politics of compromise that they don't realize that we have a mandate for our policies. Either that or they've been living in Washington too long and need to be moved back home to smell the fresh air.

Is the sun up? Arafat died again. They need to drive a stake through what passes as his heart.
