Sorry folks, I don't think this is over

Posted on 11/03/2004 7:34:57 PM PST by Capitalism2003

I don't believe the dems will give us so easily. Kerry may have conceded, but it means NOTHING legally. His army of 20,000 lawyers did not evaporate. They are still in Ohio, and you can bet they will be doing everything possible to "find" kerry 130,000 out of those 200,000 provisional ballots. They will find a sympathetic liberal judge that orders all of them to be counted (rather than the 10-20% that are traditionally valid), and they may get the electors for Kerry. If this happens, the concession was irrelevant and Kerry will be President. I'm praying our side isn't getting complacent. The left wing activists are absolutely rabid now. They have everything invested in this election, financially and emotionally...and they won't be going quietly. I hope the Bush team isn't getting complacent. They need to keep up the fight until the electors finalize the election next month.

I was reading yahoo news and they said totals were over 200k for provisionals. This is what worried me. A lefty judge who doesn't want to "disenfranchise" anyone (even cheaters, felons, non-citizens, etc) could force a count of every provisional..

This just ended so quick...I can't believe it is over. Where did the Kerry/DNC lawyers go? Many of them were volunteers...They had a huge stake in getting Edwards in the WH.

Fine, how much can you afford? Impeachment requires Republican support. If they can get that, the Repubs would bring it because he'd deserve it. Ain't happening.

Good point. BTW, one DUer said she was one of the 10,000 lawyers, and she hasn't been paid yet.

Tort Boy said that before Kerry conceded. This is trial lawyer style puffery, which might be de rigueur in a courtroom but is abysmally horrible statesmanship (one of the jillion reasons why we should be so thankful to God that Kerry/Edwards did NOT win).

I did, but I'm in Kentucky which went 60% for Bush. I loathe the left as much as anyone here and am glad Bush won. With the majorities he has achieved in the house and senate, there is now no excuse for continuing this reckless spending. They need to put the brakes on...reform social security, drop taxes a little more, and make all tax relief permanent...no compromises with the left on ANYTHING. If they do that, 400,000 Libertarian voters will come home in 2006.

Pennsylvania's final pro-Kerry margin was closer than Ohio's pro-Bush tally ... so Ohio is a non-issue unless they go after PA, too.

I will not, not I say, send back my thank you note from GWB for helping him win the election.
Kerry is an altered toad and a fraud.

Call me crazy all you like (not that you did, just jumping hte gun ;-) )...it's not about the actual "impeachment", it's floating the idea so Rather, Jennings, the alphabet soup networks have something to groan on about. And they will.

My money isn't on messing around with the vote; my money is on the impeachment the dem's are gonna bring against the President this term.

Are you wearing a tin foil hat or what?

Perhaps they learned from what Gore did - having the whole thing in public - And I'm sure the major media will be more than happy to tell the public everything that could go wrong from now until January -

But there is the other side - and I don't think they will only sit around - I have to believe they are on the watch - if the lawyers are still in Ohio. A Repub. is over the procedure and Ohio hasn't gone liberal yet -

You should pray every night for your scenario. It would destroy whatever is left of the Democrap Party.

Accordingly, your scenario is ridiculous.
