Thanks for the eggnog recipe! maybe I'll get brave enough to try it. What do you do, just beat everything together? I'm kinda scared of raw egg...which is one reason I've never attempted it.

Each serving counts as 1 fat, 1 protein, and 1 dairy.

Is that a Weight Watchers' thing? I've seen stuff like that on packaging and always wondered what it meant or what it was for.

Hmm let me think. I misposted the amount of ingredients. Let me fix it.

6 beaten egg yolks
2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar (or splenda)
1/2 cup light rum
1/2 cup bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar (or splenda)
Ground nutmeg

First you wll separate the yolks from the whites and beat the yolks. In a saucepan on medium heat you are going to mix together (stirring constantly) the egg yolks, 1/3 c. sugar and the 2 c. milk until it coats the back of a spoon.

Once it coats the back of a spoon, remove from heat, and place the pan in a sink or bowl of ice and stir for 2 minutes. Add the vanilla, bourbon, and rum while stirring. Then cover and chill for about 4 hours.

When you are ready to serve, beat the whipping cream and the 2 tbps sugar until you get soft peaks. This is where you get out the nice serving bowl and transfer your chilled 'nog. It's almost ready. Fold in the whipping cream, and it is ready. Sprinkle the nutmeg on the top of each serving.
