Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hi all. I got home safely. Sadly, the snow is too bad for us to make church. Later today we're getting the tree...
It's nice to be home so far. The bothers are flocking me.

Mornin' folks. Waitin' on the family to get ready for church.
Alkhin - I'm not Church of Christ. But I think basically there reasoning for not using instruments is that they do not find their use in the New Testament. Therefore, they believe the use in worship is not "authorized."
Darksheare - don't be such a stranger. Strange we understand. Just don't be a stranger.
Jen - are you there yet?
To: JenB
Oh, there you are! Glad you made it.

I tried to check in last night, just before bed (that was at 1 eastern) but couldn't get on.

Thanks for the eggnog recipe! maybe I'll get brave enough to try it. What do you do, just beat everything together? I'm kinda scared of raw egg...which is one reason I've never attempted it.
Each serving counts as 1 fat, 1 protein, and 1 dairy.
Is that a Weight Watchers' thing? I've seen stuff like that on packaging and always wondered what it meant or what it was for.

Sweetliberty from Dimensional Doors had the same trouble earlier.
And some of the Undead Threaders are experiencing difficulty as well.

Hooray! Glad to hear you made it! Sorry about the snow, though. I didn't pray for it yet, honest!
But I sure hope we get some soon...
I finished all my shopping except for a few grocery store type things. Woo-hoo!

It should get there soon! Seems to be moving pretty quickly.
Last night, as the plane landed, it "buzzed" Pittsburgh. Wow! I love the way our city looks at night. There's squiggly rows of lights along the hills, lights along the river, and the Triangle full of tall buildings, all different. And at this time of year, you get the Christmas lights on the houses. It's so cool.
But the travel wasn't fun.

One of the coolest experiences I've had was flying with the sunset one time...it was amazing!
I hate travel, but sometimes flying means seeing really amazing sights...
Woo-hoo! I have a new plot. I happy. At least for the next little bit until the newness wears off and reality sets in. ;-)

Yeah, a nicely self-indulgent emotional thriller with a few sci-fi twists - though the sci-fi is more a part of the setting than a big part of the story itself.
Not a kid's book, and not something series...but it should be fun to write. And I needed to write! I was jonesin' already.

They're STILL having to be reminded not to poke and prod and shake...And they are still testing the tape on the corners when no one is looking ~D
Good morning everyone!
