Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

But *this* version is done in the same husky voice, but by David Lee Roth. Yowsers... nauseating. Lordy...I can see how that would creep one out!
Ewwww...

Good morning!
Corin, it's 0 (actually the Met department's thermometer says -0.5), so I don't wanna hear complaints about 22 degrees!
But I guess I'm complainin' too, ain't I? Oops.
It's a beautiful day, though! Something about the cold seems to make the air extra clear...vey pretty.
Today is the college "Holiday Reception", starting at one thirty. Bottom line is that there's food, plenty of it, and it's really good stuff. I can endure a lot for that...

Mmm...vacation!
I can't believe it's not much more than a week until Christmas Eve. Yikes! Guess I'd better start thinking about Christmas baking and all.

Actually, it's cold, but clear and no wind. I can handle winter like this...but we're supposed to get slushy stuff or snow starting Sunday...
Besides, it's a Corin day...
Not wearing contacts. Right eye is still irritated.
Went to the grocery store for the Mrs. this a.m. (saved us going to WalMart last night). Whilst I was getting me some coffee, someone took my cart. Not a big deal since I'd just got there. But it was pretty obvious that it was being used.
Hadta get gas fer the truck. Card reader at the pump was out so I had to go in. Fergot my pin #...worse thing about that is I had just used it at the grocery store...
To: Corin Stormhands
Heh...if I actually THINK about my pin number, I can't remember it for the life of me. I've had that happen a couple times. If I just punch it in, I'm fine...but the second I actually pay attention to what I'm doing, I can't do it.
I've had to use my card as a credit card a few times. Luckily I can do that.

They make me chuckle sometimes while at the same time putting my hands over my face and groaning!

I think it was you that told me about ammonia way back during my flylady days...
Man, I love that stuff. I clean EVERYTHING with it. I use it straight on everything but the walls. I'll wipe down the whole kitchen with it, Steve grumbles and the kids run out of the house. I just scrubbed out a stainless steel pan that had that brown grease in it, you know...that's so hard to get out? Poured straight ammonia in there, let it sit and scrubbed it right out with a little Ivory Liquid!

That's all we see, is the foreshadowing bit.
I don't know what he's referring to.

Here's a pic we caught of Cyn rockin' and rollin' in the pasture yesterday... Pleased to have a little warm weather where she can run naked on the grass..
