I think it's mostly a formatting issue. I found a list of formatting tips on a self-publishing site and I'm workin' on cleaning up unnecessary spaces and such.
In other words...avoiding the next scene. But oh well.
Oh well indeed!
I ought to study a lot tonight but maybe I can write a thousand words or so.
Wow, that one kilt it good.
So did yours. ;-)
After much formatting (I'm almost done - whew!), I have it down to 270 pages. It'll still be close to three hundred when done, but it's better than it was.
Ungh. I've been staring at it so long the font in any any program looks funny.
Heh... yeah... I had to change the font and stuff to my default for editing. I can't think writing except in Times New Roman, size 11, line-and-a-half spacing.
I do have line and a half and 11 font...but not Times New Roman. It bothers me for some reason.
Guess I just HAVE to be different!
But the main thing I've changed is doing indents at the start of paragraphs and not putting spaces between related paragraphs. That's what the page I found said to do for publishing, and it does look better. Took a lotta work, though!
I also added a bunch more chapter names and all that. I'd gotten lazy with that after the first few chapters.
Actually, in general don't put spaces between paragraphs in the same scene. Then you can use "white space" as a visual cue, instead of lines. It looks a little neater, anyway.
Right, that's what I mean. Just didn't put it right.
I had spaces between all paragraphs. I've removed them now.
Headin' home! Be back in here later!
That's good! It'll make for easier reading, too.
They have just arrived at the Goblin City...
After the meetin' went to buy me some popcorn
It's cold here. I think it's up to 35 now. That's unseasonably cold for us in December.
Neither of the above. Although if I had brought in my DVD/USB drive, I probably could have watched it at work last night. Things were that slow.
I hope to block out some time on Sunday for watching. Oh, and spoilers don't bother me.
Will you be posting the drawings?
Try putting some drops in first. They can get awfully sticky when the air is dry.
I can! If he finishes. He keeps saying they aren't good enough, but the one I HAVE seen was very nice. Pencil sketches - they work well, I think!
The Roman typefaces are the easiest for Westerners to read, New Times Roman is a good one, IMO, but the Caslons are the classics.
The Roman letter form is one of the oldest, as well as one of the most beautiful letters we have. Newer ones, like Helvetica and Ariel are nice and crisp, except for that very institutional look they have. Which is why hospitals and government centers love them so. Kind of like green paint.
Corin's too embarrassed to admit that he figured out it was already out...eye was so irritated it felt like it was still in.
~ sigh ~

Heh....I've done that before.
