Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
That part I liked, and the fingery smokey things.
That lil' bit of cone will be gone within a week. That's just from the squishin' it took to get her out. ;-D
Have they told Sonya when she can go home yet? I imagine she's dying to get out of there! I know I was.
The people at the video places, that is.
I think she was expecting to go home today, and probably did. She felt fine. She felt great actually.
Sigh... and now it's getting late and I have a test in twelve hours. My fate could be riding on this test and Thursday's. Maybe I'd better go to bed early.
So did you start your viewing of it tonight? Or did ya doze off?
I have writing to do yet. As usual.
The end is in sight, however! Dunno how long it'll take to arrive, but I'm closer to the end than to the beginning now, for a certainty.
Good for her!
The longer you stay in the hospital, the worse you feel IMHO.
I'm glad that she's able to get home and start her new routine. Be prepared to hear a lot of baby vomit stories. *chuckling*
Anyway, I'm gonna take advantage of the cool night and go read a book on the back patio with a thick blanket and a cup of cocoa! See you later!
OK doll! See ya later!
Sigh, I just realized I have to hack in part of a scene previously to explain why Minor Character A is in a sitatution where he's about to die horribly and the blame is going to be placed on Hero.
I also realized today that I really, really like my hero and heroine but I pretty much consider them selfish, immoral human beings. The kind it would be fun to hang out with, yes... but part of my story is about maturing as a person, and part of it is about redemption, and I actually think I'm doing a mildly decent job this time. Of course, I haven't even gotten to the point where I can really start the super-strength redemption...
Ok! Disc 1 is finished. A logical place to end for the evening. See y'all tomorrow.
Hero goes around killing red shirts?
Poor red shirts...
Heh...while I was driving around with Bilbo, I mentioned that most of the day today I've had that feeling you get where you think something wonderful is about to happen, but you can't for the life of you remember what.
Then I realized it was because stuff is actually going pretty well for my characters right now.
Bilbo said, "You know, there's something realllly sad about that..."
Good night..... we're still on the commentary still about at ending number 1 on the mountain..... PJ stays on point but these wimmen get silly and downright comical the more bottles of wine they go through ;~D
No, it's a minor character to my story, but an important person to the hero, and he doesn't kill anybody. Well, maybe, but I think even the bad guy survives... Anyway, I am very carefully crafting this next bit, because in about six hundred more words, the characters' lives get horribly messed up forever. I am happy.
Bilbo's right, that's sad, but sooo true... Sounds like the reverse of my odd form of therapy - I've mentioned this before - where if my day is just lousy, I come home and torment my characters until I feel better. I used to get pages and pages and pages of dreck and angst out of that, and then I got a life, sort of, so I only get pages.
Yea and verily whence upon the ground it doth rain, doth it not also pour...
Evenin' folks.
Good news is my step-dad does not have a ruptured disk.
Bad news is he cracked his hip. He's having replacement surgery on Friday.
Merry Christmas to them...
Yikes!
What happened? Did he fall?
Owwie. Hope he's not moving in with you guys.
I'm not sure how he did it. He apparently cracked the ball that goes into the socket, and that's what they'll be replacing.
They work pretty hard hauling crap to sell in the store. Probably slipped or did it lifting something.
He's pretty strong. Although I wonder how they'll deal with anesthesia since he has a pacemaker. They always told Papa they didn't like to use general anesthesia because of the pacemaker...
Boy - Someone up there thinks you must be getting pretty good at dealing with bad hips.
