Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That sequence was awful darn good. That and the montage when Faramir rides out with Pippin singing.
To: TalonDJ
I can sympathize. But it was still epic.
Meanwhile.... Denethor unleashed. oh this is excellent.

I'm BACK! Fastest shopper in the west. Bought Joshua two presents. A toy truck that makes a bunch of racket when you push the buttons (I may regret it). It's an Avalanche...he LOVES those trucks and points out every single one of them. Also got him a Bionicle.

Evenin' everyone!
No ROTK-EE here either. I'm getting it for a Christmas present though, so there is hope. Even if it is a fool's hope! *smile*
I don't mind spoilers so once the all-clear is given by the others in the Hobbit Hole, spoil away!
BTW Hair, Sonya's baby is pretty durn cute for a newborn! Most of 'em look like aliens!

Hi 2J!
It's pretty chilly here too, for Florida that is.
Expected to drop down into the lower 40s tonight!

Aw, but didn't you see them hopping up and down and waving? That was the highlight of their whole lives!
Plus, beacon-keeper on top of mountain seems like a pretty safe wartime occupation.

Ok, with all the time they patched in here and there, why couldn't they spend two minutes on [redacted] I ask you? Sheesh!

Evening Ruthy! I'll let Sonya know that her alien looks less alien-like than others!
To: HairOfTheDog
LOL! Megan has no alien-like qualities!
Sonya got lucky. Her baby looks pink and pretty, not purple and pointy-headed!

At some point this semester, I seem to have lost the art of "sitting still and watching the movie". I need to be coding, or tidying, or something as I sit. It's annoying. I've gotten that way lately, too...dunno why. Probably because of watching anime on the computer and pausing every five minutes to check FR or mail or something...
Well, I dunno when I'm going to get to see it. Almost everyone cancelled coming to music night, except Bilbo and I...so we decided to rent it instead. But all the local movie places said "all we carry are the theatrical versions of those movies". Grrrr! So unless someone buys it soon...I dunno when it'll be.

She's a little bit of a cone-head. It's just hidden in the hat.

How long should we remain spoiler-free here anyhow? It would seem like after a fair chance for those interested to get to the movie store today, we should be off the hook! See my last post. :-(

Should I spoiler it for you and tell you what you probably really want to find out?

Well, dear, that just stinks, I'm sorry.... but we may not be able to function under these rules for long!
We'll perhaps start speaking in white font. :~D
