Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

When I get my grades. I don't think I bombed it but I'm not hopeful of getting a great score.

5000 more words...I'm estimating. So three more days about for me, too!
It's hard not to rush.
And Stephen is being just as self-depricating about the drawings, which so far I'm impressed as heck with. As usual. The kid has series talent when he puts his mind to it!

At the anime convention I staff we had a bunch of volunteers helping us setup that were from The League of Disposable Ninjas. Every time I turned around to plug in some gear there was a ninja RIGHT THERE! and I had to remind myself they were their to help and not to get revenge (like most of the other ninja I run into).
Note: the plural form of ninja is 'ninja', not 'ninjas'.

Woo-hoo!
I got my story right to the brink of disaster last night. Mwahaha...

We have a line on our screened-in porch that holds a lot of clothes. I put the dark clothes on that line to keep them from fading. They generally take longer to dry, though, because they aren't in the sun.
I really think things like white tee-shirts are REALLY white from hanging in the sun...very bright white! If they have a decal or something that might fade, I hang them wrong-side out.

So if you were refering to acting like a ninja, would the infinitive be "to ninj"?

Like Steve's OSU "I bleed Orange and Black" tee-shirt I got him when I gave blood time before last...it's a black tee with orange print on it. It always gets special treatment, hung on the porch to keep it from fading. He wears it a LOT. I think he likes it. LOL

hehe. I don't think it can be used as a verb...

For the last two weeks at work I've been making noise about needing a secretary (I don't need one, really, and there's a long story behind all of it). But I think my own ninja would be better than my own secretary.

I'm ALMOST down to tying up loose ends. One more big event.
And I'm at over 60k.
And when I tried formatting the document to the size pages I'm planning on using...it's over 300 pages. Eek! I guess I really, really need an editor. 300 pages for a kid's book? Obviously they're doing wayyyyy too much tea drinkin'.

The Easter eggs are on each movie disk:
Go to select a scene, go to the last page of scenes, arrow down to the last scene on the page, then press the down arrow once more and a ring lights up, and then press enter or play.
The German interview thing that was best is on disk 1.

It is all about having minions to do your bidding. I would like to have ninja minions because after you give them orders they would do that cool vanishing trick.
To: RosieCotton
But she'll like it...
How many words? Maybe you format things differently than book editor people do.
