The Hobbit Hole XVII - A new road or a secret gate...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

A new road or a secret gate...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

People babies just lay there,

My baby sister was born when I was in first grade and my just younger sister was in Kindergarten. Joanne wanted to stay home so she could 'play with the baby'. Mama let her stay, and after about 20 minutes, Joanne came back into the kitchen and asked if all the baby was going to do was sleep. Mama said yes, and Joanne said she wanted to go back to school! We all attended the same Catholic school one block from our house, so Mama called the school, and my oldest sister walked home, got Joanne and brought her to school. That was the last time she asked to stay home and play with the baby. ;o)

Yeah - As far as I am concerned, this baby won't do anything interesting until she's old enough to have a pony.

I'm drinking Twinings English Breakfast Tea. This is the first time I've every had it and it's delicious!

Oh my...

I was fixing my breakfast when I noticed that my little microwave was a bit grungy on the inside. Having my bottle of Windex nearby, I thoroughly sprayed the bottom of it and shut the door, intending to clean it out after I ate.

So I fried myself an egg, put it on a tortilla, sprinkled it with cheese, doused it with Pace hot picante sauce and sprinkled it liberally with habenero pepper flakes. Only the cheese wasn't melted enough for me.

So I placed it on a paper plate and microwaved it.

If that breakfast taco tasted like Windex, I have no idea...my mouth is still numb from the peppers.

I like all the Twinings teas. I've tried a lot of 'em and haven't hit on a bad one yet.

I like the Irish Breakfast tea, too, though it's a bit more...I want to say bitter, but bitter sounds negative. It's not quite as smooth tasting. Something like that.

I won't be watching it until tomorrow. So you'll be in good company if you can't see it tonight!

If I count as good company, that is...
