Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey, congrats on getting the 6000! That was the only triple-naught I didn't capture on that thread. ;)

I was 6. Not really much of a hangover or job angst after that one.

It's just not the best state to be in when trying to figure out what do to now that you're unemployed...

Corin...unemployed? What's this? Scott, if you're gonna sleep thru the move you're gonna missa lot of mini-dramas.
No, I'm not unemployed. Just talking about what it used to be like the morning after election day.
Here.

Whew...I had to sleep through the move, I didn't get any last night.
I was actually working on my resume a little tonight -- not for anything pressing, just getting ready to hit the market on my own accord in a few months. Too many budget cuts and this city is very poorly run. Instead of fighting the losing battle too long, I'm going to jump on my own timing.

Wait until just before the bottom falls out, then turn whistleblower and watch it come crashing down...

Never know, I might end up in Colorado.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
If you do, Fort Collins is very nice.
