In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
schadenfreude \SHAHD-n-froy-duh\, noun:
1. A malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others.
If self-replicating e-commerce baby tycoons get on your nerves, it's schadenfreude time. It's true that the Nasdaq rebounded after its staggering loss Tuesday. Nonetheless, what AP described as "the most volatile day ever for U.S. stocks" left a distinctly bearish aftertaste.
--"Market Motion Sickness." The Industry Standard's Media Grok, April 5, 2000
Etymology: German, from Schaden, damage + Freude, joy. It is often capitalized, as it is in German.
TOPICS: Education; Humor; Poetry; Word For The Day

Doesn't Matter. Incoming senate can change the Rules regarding the use of a filibuster on Judicial Appts.

Plus with the pick up of 4 we probably finally have the votes to change the rules.
Not only did the Senate become more Republican last night, it also became much more conservative. And as old Martha would say "that's a good thing"

I'm trying to get some shut-eye now so I can stay up all night at work. But staying online, listening to the radio and watching FoxNews are keeping me wired.

I saw her, I stomped off out of the room to do laundry. I was ready to throw something at her. But, I never lost faith, it was just one long night. Brit looked like he was not happy last night though. No wonder.

Hah! I'd prefer to spend my time in the hot babes forum, but such a device doesn't seem to have occurred to them. Probably because they're all basically women in the first place. Really soppy ones.
Excuse me, I have to go write a mash note to Laura Bush...

The biggest
schadenfreude of the day for me was seeing a
deeply saddened Dasshole and a deeply saddened rather. The democrat hopes for gains in the Senate were not sa
fe under Daschel. He couldn't defend his own seat and the GOP was able to extend its lead. The dems had plenty of WHINE a
nd cheese; fraudulent votes were insufficient to put them over the top in the battleground states -- especially Ohio and Florida. Maybe they should have come up with another plan for dislodging stubborn
chads -- free nude table dances for bogus vote counters, perhaps. Kerry might have won if he could
use dead french voters in the ballot counting. But at least he can help the dems raise money next time. He has quite a bit of personal experience as a
fund chaser. Deep pockets appear to be pretty easy for him to locate and penetrate (if you know what I mean). Let the dems look toward 2008 and begin their intraparty
feud; cheers and jeers will abound as they rally around hillary while grousing about their losses. However, this will simply lay the foundation for the ascendency of hillary! -- the Great
She-fraud; decency and integrity is completely foreign to her.

That damn near brings a little tear to my eye...
Meanwhile, to make this week complete, I'd dearly love to see a Jennings/Rather/Brokaw/FPL/Blitzer joint concession speech - where they collectively admit they're nothing but cheap Kerry/DNC shills & liars, and are not worthy of another single minute of face time on the public airways OR cable.
Yeah, I know -- dream on.

Did any of you see (or discuss) the concession speech? Did you notice how skerry got out of the limo, with his girls and began to walk - then realized he left the richwitch behind........... up on stage she looked drugged - he had to help her down the stairs..........
They looked into each other's eyes then he kissed her, like a brother, on the head..........
But, most notably, I did NOT see Chris "I'm rich so I can say anything" Heinz......I saw Andre, but not Chris - did anyone else see him there or was he already in hiding?

Some of us have to work for a living. However, I saw enough of one horse-faced daughter on the MSM channels last night to ruin my appetite.
