E.D. Hills told a story today on Fox&Friends about Barbara Bush that I don't believe ever happened.
In order to be fair and balance, she came up with a story about Barbara Bush, Connie Chung, and Geraldine Ferraro.
She said that Connie Chung asked Barbara Bush what she thought of Geraldine Ferraro and Barbara Bush said she couldnt say it. Connie Chung said to whisper it in her ear and then Connie repeated that it rhymed with "Witch".
Now I remember when this incident happened. It was Newt Gingrichs mother (not in politics) and she was talking about Hillary.
I dont believe the same thing happened with Barbara Bush!

Cheryl Tiegs mentions her speaking engagement tonight at Planned Parenthood. Well, there went any purchase I might have made. FWIW, here is their e-mail address for anyone wishing to explain why they are not buying.

Barbara Bush did refer to Geraldine Ferrarro as something that "rhymes with rich". She later appologized. It was in 1984. A simple Google search for "Barbara Bush Geraldine Ferrerro" points you to multiple sites. Let's not be too hard on E.D.Hill.
Rhymes with 'witch'? Snitch, rich, ditch, glitch, hitch, itch, pitch?
In any event; did not do anything about it; and appreciate the fact that you did! And yes, we need to let them hear. . .
and Josh! E.D. is not an idiot!
It was Barbara Bush.
I can deal with the morning Fox people, except when they're showcasing the lastest non-stars of the latest idiot reality show... If you get irritated by the dumbed down morning show, though, don't even think of turning to Fox and Friends on the weekend.
Yeah, but I want to know about that incident Connie Chung had with Connie Chung. Details please.
My mind goes in many possible directions. Was Dan Rather involved? Guess not, or you would have said that Connie Chung incident with Connie Chung and Dan Rather. :)
ED Hill is a mother of 9 children and one of the most articulate women on FOX news. We generally like her around here.

I agree. She did a good job of putting down Mrs Heinz's remarks, but this attempt to be "fair and balanced" and telling a story that didn't happen between Connie Chung and Barbara Bush bothered me.
It sounds like some of the Freepers agree that Barbara Bush did call Geraldine Ferraro a witch, but when E.D. described in detail an alleged incident with Connie Chung, it made an otherwise minor incident (after Geraldine Ferraro attacked the Bushes) into a bigger issue.
If she had just said that Mrs Bush had called Ferraro a witch after Ferraro had attacked their finances, it wouldn't have sounded so bad, but when E.D. attributed the Connie Chung incident that happened with Newt's mom, it was something that sticks in the mind.
Since it is the last days of the campaign, they should do their fact checking better.
Barbara Bush was correct and as usual to the point. But that still does not relate to saying that teachers and mothers don't have real jobs. ED is an idiot.
But, was Connie Chung involved?
Don't get me wrong, I love ED. She ripped that idiot "Human Shield" Ken O'Keefe before the war.
She's got great legs, too.
Sorry, Mr K, but I think ED Hill is a closet lib and if you listen closely, she jabs the Pubs pretty darn good.
She's really confused. She'll probably vote Democratic.

Josh, your calling Hill an idiot before verifying the facts is exactly what you accused her of doing. What does that make you? No, not an idiot, but human.
Hold your name calling and focus on the story. The real issue before us is whether or not Barbara Bush would call Hillary Clinton a bitch. And is it really necessary to state the obvious?
She's quite impressed with herself, it's pretty obvious.
Thank you. I was screaming at the TV, but they didn't seem to hear me.
That plug for Planned Parenthood by Cheryl Tiegs made me sick! And E.D. just sits there with this pleasant smile on her face, like she thinks Tiegs is the best thing since sliced bread. All of those Fox women are probably pro-abort liberals. I haven't seen one on Fox yet that sounds remotely coservative. What about "fair and balanced"?
Thank you and AMEN!!!! I can't stand F&F on weekdays, and I can't decide who irritates me more -- prissy Steve, ED the idiot, or that whiney Brian. I tune in at 6:45 to watch Mancow, and normally the few minutes I have to endure until he airs seem like an hour. And even he seems to contain more intelligence than that threesome combined.
I saw Ms. Tiegs on Fox and Friends this morning, and was really interested in her product. As I was online I went almost immediately to your website, and was seriously considering making a purchase, when I heard Ms. Tiegs mention her speaking engagement at and her ambassadorship for Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood has it ideological roots in eugenics, and is a major supplier and advocate of abortion. If I'm not mistaken, they even support Partial Birth Abortion, which the vast majority of Americans know to be a barbaric and brutal practice, in which a living viable infant is murdered just before his/her head exits the birth canal.
Therefore, Ms. Tiegs lost a sale. I probably spend far too much money on cosmetics. I'm thankful I found out about the Planned Parenthood connection before I spent any with your company.
ED has become a Rat sympathizer since her last child. I look at her now and want to barf. She used to take the solid steadfast "right" position on most topics on the morning show. Now anything she says now reeks of "Rat".
