I heard a rumor that I can't substantiate. Yes, you certainly did.
To: MplsSteve
There was another recent bogus report of the President giving up on a state. I don't remember which one it was. May have been MN. Anyway, the report was bogus.
To: MplsSteve
It makes sense. MN is likely to go Kerry no matter what. Tends to go Democrat, usually. Bush should focus on Wisconsin, OH, and Iowa, where he is closer or already in the lead.

I think Minnesota still qualifies as a long shot. Still, all the polls suggest Minnesota is close enough to be up for grabs. I think members of the team of righteousness are coming to Minnesota at least another time or two in the next couple of weeks. I think it's worth the effort.

complete crap. I know they are pushing HARD night in and night out there. I know a guy who is heavily involved in the MN Bush effort. They're charging hard and believe they will win. Total BS report.
MSM is trying to create stories. Don't forget the BS Penn. story last week too, on the very day Cheney was taking a freaking bus tour.
MSM is pathetic.

It makes no sense to "give up" Minnesota. It is still close, and we have enough money to compete in every battleground state.
W may choose not to make personal campaign appearences there if he has other higher value targets, but there is no way he simply "gives it up".

I don't know why President Bush would give up MI. That state is weak Kerry.

Look, CNN consists of a full time democrat election machine, both in staff and guests. If you want to hear the latest line from the Kerry campaign, tune in and hear it with the other 120,000 viewers.
Judging from your name, the Star Tribune will do the same thing for you.

just watching fox talk about Suskeins made up quote and then they talked about W's Schedule. He's got a major speech in NJ tomorrow (New Jersey is in play people) for the security moms and then he hits FL, IA, WI and Minnesota the rest of the week so don't believe the commies at cnn. He is playing offense all week except for Florida. My hunch is that Rove's internals are showing Bush with a solid lead in Ohio that Lurch cant close.

They recently said the same thing about Pennsylvania.
More Lib/Media lies.

2002 proved that MN has pockets of conservative voters that have been untapped, otherwise we would be talking about Senator Mondull re-dux. He lost because of MN's change of demographics. I personally feel there may be more support for W than polls show. There are religious conservatives up there, particularly Lutherans and Catholics. There are new suburbs of young marrieds with children who have moms staying home and home-schooling. I hate the thought of W losing time when he should be in OH or FL, but MN may not be Kerry-Country yet.

After NJ tomorrow, the President will be going to IA, MN, WI and FL.
The rumor is completely false.

You heard crazy talk. Bush's campaign staff has doubled in the state in the last few weeks. He VISITED HERE only less than two weeks ago. He will be VISITING AGAIN!
Someone is trying to discourage GOP'ers in Minnesota! It's not going to work. We will WIN this state. I've taken off work on election day and will work to get it done. I encourage others to do the same!
