Hardees Western Bacon Thickburger commercial

Has everyone seen the new hardee's commercial with the girl riding the mechanical bull while eating a "thickburger"? What do you think? Is it too sexy for a fast food commercial?

I first saw Hardees in Fresno, CA

Interesting. I'm originally from Iowa and there were Hardee's restaurants all over the place. But in the 12 years I've lived all over Southern California, nary a Hardee's to be found.

Hardee's has gotten more attention with this commercial than they have in years. By the way, their new hamburgers beat most other fast food restaurants (and alot of others)burgers hands down.

Back to the real news..............

Hardees Western Bacon Thickburger commercial

They could have added jeans to a commercial promoting eating right and getting more exercise.

The simple fact is: sex sells. There's blatant and hidden innuendo in every commercial from burgers to cars to Saran Wrap ("What do you want tonight, see through or red?"). You have only a few ways to deal with it: Change the channel, boycott the products, and write the sponsors. When enough people complain, they'll drop it in favor of something else. But if their sales increase, it's gonna stay on.

That's because Carl's Jr. isn't national as Hardee's is...

Huh? They are the same company!

Yes!! It's sad to me that Hardees and other places have to use sex inuendos to get business. I don't like Hardees, never have. The commercial is stupid.

I saw it and thought it was cute in the context of the audio voiceover.

BTW, there is no more 'Hardees', used to be a NC business, but were bought out by 'Carls' some years ago.

Currently, Hardee's owns and operates a system of nearly 2,400 company and franchise-owned quick-service restaurants in 32 states in the US and 11 foreign countries.

Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in Santa Barbara, California. CKE Restaurants, Inc. is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange as CKR.

Hardee's is currently revitalizing its brand image and remodeling all its restaurants into "Star Hardee's". This marks a return to Hardee's heritage of charbroiled burgers. Hardee's continues to lead the industry with breakfast favorites such as Made From Scratch™ Biscuits, freshly sliced roast beef, the added value table service and of all-you-can drink beverage bars and brighter restaurants remodeled both inside and out.

You mean the "food" doesn't?

I did send a letter to Hardees. But it doesn't excuse the behavior.

You wont find a Carl Jr's here. But you will find a Hardees on every street corner. (not really but close enough)

I have seen a Hardees basically every where in the US, I have never seen a Carl Jr's on the east coast.

Lighten up, it's a metaphor on the liberation of Everywoman's "Inner Dominatrix."

That one, and the Trimspa one with the beach scene, too. I had to turn the channel. I have young boys.

A burger is eating right...

Dairy = Cheese

Meat = Beef Patty

Breads and cereals = Bun

Fruits and Vegetables = Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles...

It's a full meal in one.

So don't excuse it. I'm going there for lunch. I don't care about the commercial, I care about a good tasting burger.

Hardee's isn't national either. It sure isn't in any part of the West Coast I've seen.

They are both the same company. One is the east coast version and the other is the west coast version. The star (logo) remains the same.
