If an individual believes in the pillars of Islam, which by definition, includes "Jehad" as one of the pillars, then that belief contravenes our basic faith in the US Constitution. So, someone believing in the ideals of Islam has problem of accepting the US Constitution..
One thing we don't want to do is let the US Supreme Court decide.
I think the bigger question is whether a two-line vanity in News/Activism contravenes my basic faith in Free Republic.
Its another reason to severely restrict immigration from Muslim countries.
The only solution for them is to conform islam the death cult to the Constitution.
If they can't do that then there will ultimately be a religious war here that they will lose....badly.
You must mean the Bible and the Koran. In which case there is no valid comparison.
The comparison is between Sharia (Islamic) law and the US Constitution - which again is no comparison.
What's to solve?
About a year before 911, I was asking friends:
Can a good Muslim be a good American?
Jihad is NOT one of the five pillars of Islam.
The Five Pillars are faith in One God with Muhammad as his messenger, Prayer 5 times a day, charity and tithing, fasting during Ramadan, and pilgrimmage to Mecca.
Easy, round up every muslim ship them somewherelse. Then destroy every copy of the so-called book of peace!
The only good terrorist is a dead one!
There's nothing to solve.
Islamic law is inferior to Constitutional law, which was founded upon Christian principles.
Anyone who has a problem with that can live on a sand dune with his camel.
So,,,,,,,,,,
how do you separate the first pillar from Jihad?
Old Mo' was the inventor of Jihad!
When Vanities Attack!
I agree. Those idiots would leave this country open to maniacs, and find something in the Constitution to back themselves up.
Hopefully, I'll be dead and gone by the times muslims are allowed to take over our government with their "voice".
I believe that new immigrants/citizens from anywhere should NOT be allowed to vote for 10 years or more. . .but that would be againts the constitution wouldn't it?
HUH? What Christian principles would they be?
Could you please quote any chapter and verse of the Bible that matches anything in the Constitution.
The only thing I can find is the 18th and 21st Amendments which are both covered
Around the year 1567 Europe cured themselves of Islam.
We need to open the history books. I believe the cure was a bit bloody. :-)
Get it right. I said Christian "principles" not biblical verses.
Principles, as in an accepted role of conduct and ethics; a general truth from which other "truths" are derived.
Get yourself a dictionary.
It was bloody indeed. History is close to repeating itself.
Any muslim who thinks a takeover of the West will benefit Islam is ignorant of history. Any "war" between Islam and the West will end in the destruction of Islam.
We aren't at war with the entire Islamic world now, but we're close to it.
Where does your ultimate loyalty lie? The US Constitution or the Bible?
