Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
At least you get to dilute her with other people.
Yeah, we'll have quite a crew. But trust me, she'll stand out. Classic extravert. Gotta love her though. As crazy as she makes me, she's a good person to work for. She'll give you professional respect, kudos when they're deserved, correction when necessary, and she'll go to bat for you with management. She'll make ya laugh, make you cry, drive you nuts all at the same time. Every trip is an adventure.
Woo-hoo!
Of course...that's the one that could REALLY get me in trouble on campus. ;-) I don't get why Dems feel that the ONLY way to support women and make 'em feel wanted is to allow (and if at all possible use government funds for) abortion. As if that's all there is to us...ech! So whoever is the MOST lenient in that regard, they thing is the best candidate for women. Drives me nuts.
Whoohooo! (still sitting in my hotel comfy chair, freeping and munching on M&Ms) I just saw a swiftvet ad! How fun! I wish I lived in a battleground state. My vote is wasted in the People's Republik of Maryland.
Ooh...copy just finished. Be back later...I'll probably take a break after 49, for a little bit anyway.
Unfortunately Vermont will go to Kerry no matter what, 'cause the people who have infiltrated the state and filled the bigger towns are all rabid leftists. *sigh* I'll vote anyway, but it won't do me any good. At least we're only worth three electoral votes! That's a comfort in a way, as is the fact that this county generally goes Republican even if the state as a whole doesn't.
Hi, everyone.
Back from West Palm.
Rosie, I continue to admire your tag line.
What did I miss, while away?
She sounds like Vince Lombardi!
With a Baltimore accent and red hair approaching "Texas Big-Hair" in size.
Aack!!
Keep me posted! I'm betting even if you wanted to not watch them all tonight, you'd watch them all tonight...
Argh, must run to store to get ingredients for dinner. That's what happens when you get a hankering for something and the key spice is not in your kitchen...
Yeah, my vote for Dubya is wasted here in MA, too, but I'm still getting out and voting. I want the President to have an ENORMOUS popular vote total, so if anyone tells me they planned to stay home cause he can't win the state, I'll tell them to vote anyway, just to annoy the libs in the state!
Oh, go ahead and annoy them!!! I think I have an extra pin that says the same thing. If I find it, I'll bring it.
Evenin'
Nana is home. Gonna be a bit tricksey until the bathroom is finished. But we'll make it.
Sam is home from the kennel/vet. He's been put on a diet.
Jr. got interim grades today. Wife meets with the school on Thursday, then we decide.
Suzi/OT - don't care what the cat thinks. She gets on the bed tonite and she's gonna be flyin' across the room. Seriesly, I just have to brush her away and she'll go somewhere else.
But you may be right about the pet dander Suzi. When I picked up Sam, I wasn't out of the parking lot before I had an attack. Had to pull over and get out of the truck before I could breathe again. Rode home with my window down.
I am sleeping dressed and ready to go with my shoes by the bed...sigh...
g'nite folks. Hope I'm around to see you in the mornin'. ;-)
It's the same here in WA... it's only in play if there's a massive snowstorm that only hits Seattle. The rest of the state is reasonably conservative, but we're all held hostage to Seattle's lefties.
Howdy there everybody... [sip] It's a Monday, and pretty good as Mondays go.
Speak fer yourself... this Monday was lousy. I had to buy some more citrus-flavored vodka while shopping for dinner supplies. I'm going to need a lemon drop to relax this evening...
What are you having for dinner?
Yikes...just finished episode 50. That was evil.
OK, I have a major prayer request for everyone. My nephew (oldest brother's youngest son) and his wife had a baby girl yesterday. Little Madelynn Diane was only 26 weeks gestation and they had to take her by C-section because Mom had toxemia. She's hanging tough, and though she is on a ventilator, she's breathing about 2/3rds of the time, and the machine is taking up the slack. Her doing most of it is helping her little lungs get strong. Please keep her in your prayers. It's gonna be a long tough haul for her, and Matt and Denise, her parents.
